In tournament 1v1 its a lot harder if Soul Ring isn't allowed. Of course, then it's Broodmother, who's even more lane-centric than OD is. RoB or clarity potions are pretty effective if you're restricting soul ring. Enchantress and Undying have potential to do well too I believe.

Because if one side gets the creep wave frozen on their high ground, the other side isn't going to have a way to break the equilibrium, neither are bottle/rune heroes, and both heroes don't have escapes so they can't just play on the other guy's high ground. If one guy manages to stabilize the lane on his high ground the other hero spends the rest of laning last-hitting from low ground. OD vs viper is slightly in favour of od. but basically the better player wins that

The problem isn't just regen, the problem is having 120 max mana up often enough. Soul Ring bypasses this because it adds the 150 mana buffer which allows you to cast Spiderlings with 1 Intel (even though this should not be the case--the Soul Ring mana buffer isn't supposed to allow you to cast spells that your Intel is too low to cast even if the amount of mana it gives you is enough to cast the spell).

Why not? Item description states that it adds 150 mana temporarily, so it has nothing to do with INT. I guess WC3 Dota feature?

bfury is fine on pa. the other common build is phase wand drums (midas) -> bkb -> basher, hotd, vlads, yasha, mkb, etc

I've been pissing away games thinking BFury is standard on PA like it is on AM.I guess Phase/Wand/Drums/BKB is the way to go?
