People are so quick to critique them but it's hard to judge FXO's skill as a team when they had twice the skill EoT has, which isn't much of a surprise considering the fact that FXO has players that had competitive experience before. FXO went through the league uncontested throughout the NSL, we don't know how good they are given that. I'm talking about non FXO teams. they've stepped it up since TI3. the newer teams that have formed SINCE ti3 are about at the level the non BG/FXO teams were during NSL. but the teams in the NSL that are competing now all seem much better.

Everyone else was below what you'd see in an amateur tournament in EU, it wasn't really comparable as it was clear they had so little experience. It's like me saying "Na'Vi is a step below DK because they got 0-2'ed by the Alliance in the semi's". You can't judge how good a team overall is just from a small sample of games or a series. FXO might be a new team but the players individually has a track record in competitive DotA (Febby and March). Don't discount or judge FXO as a team based from the NSL games, everyone that knew about the roster's history knew that FXO would take the entire event easily.

Storm synergizes well with Orchid and to be frank Bloodstone is greedy as fuck of an item to build into. Linkin Sphere is actually quite nice as well on Storm. Anything that helps Storm's regen honestly. So I would say if you want a standard build, Orchid is your first priority core. In terms of playstyle well, Storm isn't a farmer. Your success is reliant on how active you are around the map imo. Storm is really dangerous at level 6 obviously for his mobility and it gives him almost total rune control. Level 6 Storm should almost always contest runes! If your fighting QoP, Puck, TA or whatever standard range hero mid, play passively. You can't afford to die before level 6 and Storms rune control sucks until 6. Be careful as well, QoP has really good killing potential to make it rough for you. So I would say getting to level 6 is your priority. The reason why a lot of guides opts to rush Bloodstone is that they're greedy and they believe Storm can't die once he has ulti up. Say your stomping the game and you see no real way for them to kill you (aka lacks lockdown) than by all means go bloodstone. If you're not and the enemy team has effective lockdown, Orchid and careful pickoffs is key. Storms ulti DOES give him good suitability. If you're really behind and didn't have a good game, Storm is really rough to play catch up with. You want to at least make sure you have a presence throughout the mid game. Hey just a few things i notice bad storm players doing. A bad storm player will walk into a lane to gank after level 6, rather than TP in. Always carry a TP on you after level 6 on storm spirit, his ability to counter gank is exceptional and often "forgotten about". Another thing is lot's of storm spirits don't exploit their ability to destroy the enemy mid at level 6. Storm spirit+1 support can kill ANY current mid the moment the SS hits level 6. Most great mid's will play super safe sure, but a smoked support and a gank @ level 6 is such a great way to get the snowball rolling One last thing is that Storm spirit is an exceptionally great Split Pusher. If you get the farm, you can go really fast BoT on him. this means that in any sort of teamfight you will be there due to ulti//tp onto creeps. Also if you have BoT and any decent sort of map awareness you can splitpush to your heartscontent.

Personally I think that new Huskar is quite strong laner now, burning spears hurt a lot and you regen back the hp quite fast. Also Huskar needs quite a few levels so i think mid lane is quite good for him. Thoughts ?

He'll get destroyed by ranged heroes though. Get the resident Huskar expert in here.

He's much better in the safe lane imo where you have the option of both jungle help (like a Chen) and a nuking support.

Obviously if a support roams, you are probably dead though.
