My opinion is that Flash would have magically won game 2 against Jaedong in the MSL finals after the power went out. So i'm playing at a Lan tournament in Chicago and vykro will be casting the tournament. Most of the players are bad. I'm looking to try and sneak my way into cocasting with vykro after the team im standing in for gets knocked out.

That's particularly interesting to me. Omnislash felt a bit different, I thought it was just my nostalgia fucking around with my memory of dota 1. tl;dr version of that link: Dota 1 omnislash gets you 1 extra normal attack per slash at 320 ias. Also the number of extra slashes was actually random below that point. Dota 2 omnislash trails 1 or 2 normal attacks behind at 320 ias. However it actually does 13 normal attacks during the 12 slash omni at max attackspeed.

DotA 2 simply does not have this property. There are a couple minor gameplay implications of this, this just happens to be one of them.

This does not affect your overall attack speed but affects when you *start* an attack. The reason for the ARD is so that when you have multiple identical units issued an attack order, having their attacks all perfectly synced might feel disconcerting, so the randomized delay was meant to make it feel more "natural". DotA 2 simply does not have this property. There are a couple minor gameplay implications of this, this just happens to be one of them. I remember some people telling me that it was slightly harder to last hit in war3 dota, because of a certain something, I dismissed that as just random fanboyish though. Maybe it actually is true then.... Quite surprising that it's been left out, it seems a pretty big change especially when tey are trying to keep the game as same as possible and 0.25..is a long time when your trying to last hit correctly.

It provides more except at the cost of some mana (not usually an issue for viper) and ~150g more overall price. The 5 armor is better than 10 or 20 damage block, the heal is the same amount of HP as a vanguard provides, plus the 5 all-stats are useful and give you a higher HP total once you add the heal. Its not remotely close to a sacrifice to opt for mek over vanguard. Vanguard is simply no longer a good item in comparison to many, many other options.
