Hey there,
I'm here to see how many of you have been having lag issues. On my side, the shit hit the fan at the beginning of october... From a 20 ms ping (I have optical), I started going to 50 with 500 lag spikes, to 100 with 1000 lag spikes, and now I'm constantly around 250 ms with killer lag spikes (and when I say killer, I mean killer -> I play HC only).
The thing is I tried a pathping, and something came up, Diablo 3 and Heartstone servers are shared. Also, The beta of Heartstone (here in europe) started in october as well.... I really believe Blizzard does not give a flying fuck about d3 players and has no intentioin to change anything until Heartstone is out.
IE we are fucked for a while...
What about you guys?

Yes i have been lagging on eu as well. People have been complaining in game as well.
|
I concur. Maybe make a vote of some sort.
Anyway, yeah I can't play my rend barb on mp10 because of random latency fuckups. Completely takes away the flow of the game. If I run at around 7-8 I mostly survive any spike. I'm just assuming that it will go away with the expansion so it's not really a big deal as I barely play the game.

I play on EU server and have the exact same problem. The games are always lagging with frequent random lag spikes.
I'm too scared to play now (playing HC also)
|
Could be the new Battle.net App (in addition to Hearthstone beta) causing problems. I definitely have seen the lag spikes you talk about happen to me in the past 1-2 weeks. It's pretty unacceptable when playing a hardcore Wiz and I've basically been playing less due to this.
Edit: I'm on Americas.

It´s a little bit better for me since the last server maintanance on Tuesday, but it´s still there. But i started playing HC again, i feel it´s much less there. Maybe because less people play there?

that might help: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=68937656&f=182&p=463048213
basically, it seems like some of the eu battlenet servers are affected while others are not. in the link above, you find a link to a spreadsheet where people are entering the ips belonging to the good and bad servers... (yes, i just gave you a link to a link^^)

i got the same shit over here for like 2 weeks now ... thanks for the link to the link to the spreadsheet - will try that out

Blizzard' EU Server are in Sweden and connected with TeliaSonera. In Sweden, there was a tunnel fire at early october, which ruined internet cable too (under the tunnel).

ha, you should try to play PoE. The situation there is imho much worse. I am also experiencing lag issues, but they are not that bad, that the game is unplayable. I play HC only.

Nice, thanks, that actually works. HC mp4 here i come!

Stopped playing again due to the lag. Back to OpenTTD

Finding a good server works. And I might be wrong now, but it seems that mob density is higher on a good server. Haven't tested this so it probably is a coincidence but it sure seems like it.

pff, whiners!
playing on EU server from Australia, I have a 300ms ping on a good day, and frequent spikes over 3s. Luckily, most of the time I just hold down my left mouse button while slamming 123123123123123123, so np. l2p.

this
I can straight up tell you all that most EU/NA players have no idea what real lag and spikes are
