I have a question:
Why is the giant skull worth so much?
I found one yesterday. 65 str, 25 cold resist, about 350 amor, some gimmicks and a socket.
I saw it on the AH going from 1 to 100 million gold pieces.
Honestly I don't see what the fuss is all about.

W/O looking at the ah I wouldn't think you'd get more than 500k for that helmet, low int, no crit doesn't fit into glass cannon builds and no vit, %life, or socket doesn't fit into survivability builds. I personally wouldn't pay more than 200k for it.

This has me confused because the base damage is on the low side but I do not play a Wizard so I'm not sure how important the 55% crit and socket are. Having Int on there is also nice
Looking at the AH I am not sure whether the ~1.5 2m prices are warranted because of the Crit Damage or whether they have just been listed by greedy people and it is actually worth far less (OR EVEN MORE!)

Considering they're talking about nerfing IAS, I'd suggest flipping it before they do, since it has almost no other DPS stats.

Many players have commented that Increased Attack Speed is such a dominant stat they feel it’s required. While we don’t have an issue with there being important stats, Increased Attack Speed in particular has secondary effects on mobility in combat, resource generation and resource consumption. We want there to be options and considerations for how you gear up, and one uber trump-everything stat can really work against choice and options. There are two different solutions we’re considering to reduce the effectiveness of Increased Attack Speed. The first is to simply reduce the value on all the items to their desired values. In general our desire is to never change items as that makes them feel less concrete, but the upside is you would still be able to look at an item and know exactly what you are getting. The other approach is to change the formula used for attack speed aggregation so that stacking attack speed from multiple slots suffers from diminishing returns. The downside of that approach is that it introduces yet another hidden modifier on an item property (and many people dislike hidden modifiers), and complicates the already difficult decision of item gearing. We’re currently leaning toward the first solution, to simply reduce the value on items, but we’d be interested to read people’s thoughts on the problem.

I don't even think it's worth 250k in the current environment, sorry mate. There's virtually no stats other than 15 ias and good vit. My estimate for that ring value is around 50 - 100k as is, without the ias nerf...

It's okay but not worth much because there's no socket in the helm. A socket in that helm would shoot the price up by almost a million IMO (can get 30% gold find or magic find, or a lot of extra health, which are all amazing)

You should be able to sell it - 2m is too much (which is why they're not selling) but putting an emerald in it can give you a DPS similar to a 950 or 1k weapon with the huge crit damage. I'd probably aim to sell at 1mil something.
