The gear I posted in my profile a few posts up cost less than 500m altogether, you can get a pretty nice barb for that money.
Sell the mempo, and upgrade the rest of your gear.
A full set is better than one godly item and then garbage in the other slots...no offense :p
Aim for items with STR + VIT + All Res where possible. Slots that can roll crit, you want crit, so 4+ for rings, 8+ for amu etc etc.
Then once you have crit, try to up your crit damage. No point focusing on crit damage for the moment with your crit so low. If you can get pieces with both for cheap, then by all means go for it.

I'm on EU, so just check it yourself. Search for a Mempo with 170+ strenght and 4.5 critical hit chance, you'll see with your own eyes.
You should aim for 40k hp, 500 resistances (before War Cry) and some life on hit / life steal depending on the MP you farm in. Then as much strenght, cc, cd, ias you can afford.
I wrote some advice for budget barbs some pages ago, but it doesn't make sense to have 1 million worth of gear with a 500 million helm, so I think you should sell it. :/
(just so you know, I played 800 hours, my gear is worth ~2 billion gold... but I never found something remotely similar to that Mempo)

You definitely should sell that mempo for somewhere around half a billion ASAP, before it drops in price. I have a quite effective budget set (less than 100 mil total excluding gems). You can take a look and a get a similar one. It might cost a bit more on EU, not sure.

Also if anyone sees any gaps in my gear, please let me know. I really can't see what I can upgrade that would boost my damage significantly (at least by 2k unbuffed) and spend less than 30 mil on it.

Yeah the IK set is awesome.
Helm: 170str, 5.5%cc, +250armor
Chest: around 150str/150vit if you can afford it, otherwise around 160/90
Gloves: 170str, 9.5cc, ias or cd
Belt: 170str, 70vit (over 200str if you can), + a valuable skill bonus (bash, frenzy, weapon throw)
Boots: everything over 100str and/or 100vit is fine, depending on your needs

What's so great about the Immortal King's set? The set boni other than the +60% resists are rather marginal and every slot has a very good alternative:
Helm: Crit Mempo or Andariels Visage have a lot more damage at the cost of some survivability.
Chest: Tyrael's Might with 150+ Vitality roll
Gloves: Here you can actually get a trifecta with high str, but rares with similar stats are a lot cheaper and can also roll allresistance.
Belt: You can get Lamentations for very cheap with 250+str and vit, effectively trading the allres on the IK belt for more Str and crit chance and if you can get lifeleech on the weapons the Witching Hour with a decent strength roll boosts your dps by a lot.
Boots: Ice climbers are simply much better.

I dont think Big G was necessarily stating to get all 5 pieces, just what to look for on any given piece of the set. The two-piece combo works quite well. The belt+helm in particular.

with selling the helmet yourself, you have enough money to build a barbarian that is capable of doing mp10 EASILY.

BruteMax is right, I was just suggesting a balanced and easy to find setup for Golbat but I don't necessarily recommend the whole set. The items you mention are more expensive (mempo with cc, ice climbers with ms) or just a tradeoff (more dps but less EHP for Andy, lamentation, witching hour), while being a bit harder to search for in AH.
I'm a huge fan of the set bonus though, it makes the difference in my own build (hota with sprint/marathon). Sprint/WWers don't care much.

I've gotten up to 43k HP unbuffed, 47k DPS with WW Spec, between 400-600 resists and 70% damage reduction. Most of the stuff I replaced is stuff that's dropped, besides the amulet and helmet. The Mempo hasn't sold yet as expected, but when it does I'll come back. Am I on the right track so far?
The one thing I really need is any kind of Life on Hit, but as I'm tapped out on gold ATM I'll have to wait for that one.
