I think most people don't realize that people in this thread don't hate or dislike this caster as a person, we truthfully just don't want to waste our time/money having to understand/tolerate her style of casting when GOM could easily just give viewers alternatives like maybe a KR stream? (especially while she's still improving at least) unless thats already possible? please correct me if im wrong cuz i would love it if GOM had a live kr stream as well so those of us (foreigners) who actually enjoy the kr commentating can watch it
and im sure hardcore sc fans will still watch code a but how about the people not so into the game/esports? how would you feel having to introduce someone to sc2 just to have them confused and not interested at all? i feel like this has a bigger impact on the game/community than people are thinking, cuz seriously a stupid thing like a person's accent could easily deter new/existing fans from watching code a. but seriously, if GOM hopes to expand globally i hope their future decisions involve the opinions of their fans/customers.

These two points I feel are extremely important. There's no reason to settle for a sub-par caster (and she is guys to be frank, if you just watch her VODs - her accent, her voice pitch, her game knowledge and even personality) when it is a paid service. If this was already mentioned than I'm sorry but I still have no understanding as to why TorcH wasn't picked as the Code A caster unless he outright denied the offer himself.

Whatever You Like is the most baller song ever though, although T.I does it better than her obviously. But it's not too shaby. What about copy right issues though? :S
Anyway, her taking the spots of either tasteless or artosis is screwed up. From what I've seen she's TERRIBLY at casting.

Another issue I see coming up is the illegal posting of these games recasted to youtube. With tastosis it's hard to outdo them, but in this situation I see a lot of YT casters trying to jump on the opportunity. I don't condone piracy, but this might be a bit annoying for GOM if the casters decide to disregard copyright law.

I dont really want to dig up this thread again, but GOM is very good and efficient about killing
restreams and people on youtube who try to do anything with their games. So i doubt that

It all depends on your local laws. Many countries don't recognize intellectual property but most developed countries do. China is notorious for be very relaxed when it comes to intellectual property and even has a government funded theme park that blatantly infringes on Disney's intellectual property rights. ie. it's an unofficial Chinese "Disneyland."

If there is one thing that I think we should refrain from doing, is attempting to call her character the reason behind her failure as a caster. At the end of the day, people can't understand her english, whether due to accent, unfamiliarity with that accent etc. and when people have to pay for such a service with a damned great game that people are very passionate about, with the highest level of players in the world, for us, it's a damned shame that people felt that they didn't have more of a say in the process. Sure, we're not GOMtv, but at the same time, this community is very vocal about what it wants. This is not a passive community that sits back, and just fumes silently.
But I want us to point out, that if we start with this path of trying to pick apart every single little thing about her character etc., we're not getting any further along in solving the problem. I think that it's time that out of these many angry people, someone has to start up some sort of petition (because that's the only thing that I think we can say in attempting to solve the problem to GOMtv), and hope that after this GSL, there will be a re-opening of this position (considering at the end of it, they actually want 2 Code A casters not including Tastosis am I correct?). At this point in time, we can be as angry as we want, but they won't kick her this late.
Another reason why I say don't bother going along the path of character ripping? It makes us look like the haters that everyone who supports her, thinks we are. If you want to make reasoned arguments in a teamliquid forum, that's great (and I'm not trying to rip TeamLiquid's significance within the SC2 community), but you're not giving hell to the main perpetrators of your frustration and that's GOMtv. Simple as that.
Lastly, if you think that she's narcissistic because she takes loads of photos of yourself, you have no idea how the mainstream Chinese culture operates. I know there will be people who will take exception to this, and I will agree in advance, that there a lot of asians who don't do this either, but within Asia, you know all those self-photo machines, and the like? Have you not seen loads of them use it extensively? Have you not seen people in chinese cafes where they're doing nothing but taking loads of photos of themselves with their cell phone cameras? And now you think that's a reflection of her overt-sexuality? Sure, fuckslits.com is a really misleading name, but you're reading too much into A) what song she has on the blog, B) the name of the blog, when we have nothing but our own interpretations of all this to back us up.
tl;dr stop taking her blog and her twitter feed and all this other crap, as reasoning for why she shouldn't get this job. I know we all tried the logical argument thing, and maybe you feel frustrated, but don't go down a path that's non-constructive. You want to change shit? Make a petition if there hasn't already been one started.

I just can't wait until they replace her. Thankfully muting the stream is a feature but I wish I could just choose to mute a specific caster.
Also, I'm really wondering how someone with a blog name fuckslits ever got hired. I know if any employers around here were attempting to hire me in a position of publicity they would probably want me to maintain the image that they want to convey through every possible channel. Corrupting that image through a blog would either end in an immediate take down of said blog or removal from the employed position.

Please refrain from sidetracking the issue by saying "well you know what, children in Africa are starving, so you can't be upset at this!!" is ridiculous. The reason this has so much negative feedback is because the GSL is an exciting part of the day for many people who post on TL, and they don't want to see it give up quality that they've come to expect.
And for your information, I believe the first thread reached around 90 to 100 pages, mostly negative feedback as well. The reason people are mad isn't because kellymilkies isn't just "not their pick for who'd they want casting GSL", it's because Kelly can barely make herself understandable in English to a good majority of people. It's a small-scale version of hearing that GOM would permanently stop having English casters for code A period.

ALSO i'd like to say i'll watch all games she casts, not only ppl favorite huk's. Just hope the experience doesnt get ruined.
