Otherwise, theoritically some teams will qualify because they have 50 players and 10 of those are in code S and A ( 20 percent), while a team might miss out because it has only 8 members but all 8 are in code S and A.
On the actual league, wouldn't only 5 people be able to play per match day anyway. Theoretically this is prevented by the limit of 64 players in code S and A. a team would have to solely dominate to the extent of being unreasonably good in order to skew in this way.
for instance if a 50 player team has 10 coded then 7 other teams would have to have 10 or 9 or 8 coded players in order for a 8 member coded team to be skipped. and having 8 teams with 8-10 coded players is only possible with 8 teams with 8 coded players (64 total) which would be every coded player, thus not leaving any team out.

TL is much better than ZeNEX right now imo. I don't think that Kyrix, LiveForever and San will stay S Class for much longer, also imo HayprO is A class material and HuK&Ret are better than one fourth of S Class players (I think Haypro, HuK and ret are much better than i said they are, but still, being humble is good, isn't it?)
|
Kyrix will say S class. But i agree that LiveForever and San are not really S class standard. Teamliquid FTW! Hope Huk goes S-Class by next season!
|
Wait... so this is NOT a 2v2 tournament? Because I would pay to see that!
|
Liquids chances are hampered purely by the number of players available to them. Someone tie up TLO in a sack and ship him back to Korea. =D
EDIT: Lots of people underrating LiveForever in here
|
So even with all 4 liquid members participating in the GSL (S and A) then they still wouldn't make it in even with 2 of them in code S. SlayerS/IM needs their players demoted and then Liquid with 2 S and 2 A (gogo ret for code S) would maybe qualify for the team league!

Kyrix is S-class player easily. LiveForever too, but he lacks practice (his account has less played games than mine) and about San well he is kinda mediocre.
But ZeNEX isn't the only team that only has one or two great players for them and rest are quite mediocre (fOu most notably).
And Liquid just has too few players at Korea at the moment for them to make it.

This is stupid, if the format is BW style 4x 1v1s and 1x 2v2 then it should be limited to 6 players per team counting towards the point score. This is too arbitrary.

TL is just unlucky for not having that many players there for a long time... But they'll make it eventually!

Hope to see Liquid in it one day.

I want Nazgul with a tophat and a monocle, perhaps even armed with a walking stick, sitting there legs crossed as the TeamLiquid guys bring down all the korean top teams.
So Liquid fighting! better have 5 in S class by next time!

Liquid has too few players overall. At least compared to teams like Prime, ZeNEX or oGs. And I agree with most of this. Except LiveForever.
About fOu, I don't think their A class or S class players deserve their spots (except Leenock and Terious, I don't want to sound like a Zerg fanboy, but neither scfOu nor thebestfOu has impressed me so far. But Terious is S class easily as well).

HuK, Ret, HayprO have S class skills, maybe you can argue HayprO a little bit, but he's good and he'll be better. Tyler too has a good shot in A-Class. TLO could also get points for TeamLiquid, but he chose not to participate.

I agree with IM. Losira and Junwi are S Class materials. In Slayers, Jys is hands down better than some current S Class Terrans like thebestfOu or PoltPrime. Golden and NewDawn are not bad either, so it's going to be difficult for Liquid. But, it's not impossible, like Nazgul said.

Zenith is a clan and Nex is a clan but ZENEX is the team. ect.

Tyler is probably the most skilled TL player, he just doens't play enough. I think he would be easily S-class

great to see the first "real" team league.

Wow awesome!
Great way to give teams extra value. Also encourages players to perform well and being in Class A still means a lot to the team for GSLT.
|
Eh, I am lukewarm about the rating system. It seems to favor massive conglomerates like Zenex (lol) and Prime. Either way, I think team competition has a promising future in Starcraft. TvT always will have the potential to be boring, but the emotional connection and "narrative" that team competition brings to the table can make even the most, lackadaisical, cheesy match intense.
Get them pointz! Liquid Fighting!

If TLO comes back to A class, Ret and Jinro into S class, And Huk and Haypro into A class, then they will make it ^^
|
Ret will probably get S-class next season, and Jinro will probably stay in as he is probably stronger than Check (not sure about ensnare and idra though, I think they are about the same level as Jinro).
I don't think that's enough though, seeing that the Huk and Haypro aren't even in A-class yet and will have to wait for.. March?
