You've heard it right folks. Donga Pharmacy has sponsored Starleague yet again for the 3rd season of Bacchus Starleague. It will start this Friday, the 29th (referred from other thread).
The competition starts on this Friday with the preliminaries, and will last till late January of next year.
In Bacchus Starleague 2008, Flash won his first OSL title, defeating Stork in the finals. This became a stepping stone for Flash, as he started to dominate the BW scene.
In Bacchus Starleague 2009, Jaedong set a new record by winning the Golden Mouse.
Will history be set again?
Known information so far:
-It starts on the 29th
-Nothing's finalized, but it seems like there will be new OSL maps, two from KeSPA and two from OGN, all brand new. All I know at this moment is that these maps will be similar to new maps: It will favor the player who plays aggressively instead of passively. (Through Um Jae Kyung's Twitter)

+ Show Spoiler [Show Full Translation] +31st OGN Starleague will be sponsored by Donga Pharmaceuticals. Bacchus (editor: it's a name of their flagship product) Starleague 2010 will start with the prelims in October 29th (Friday) to the late January of next year, for total of 3 months.
This is the third time that Donga Pharmaceuticals is sponsoring Starleague. They have sponsored Bacchus Starleague since 2008, and the 2008 Starleague is special as that it was the first Starleague where the 'Ultimate Weapon', Lee Young Ho (Flash) has received his first Starleague win, and in 2009, 'The Tyrant' Lee Jae Dong (Jaedong) was awarded the Golden Mouse.
Marketing PR from Donga Pharmaceuticals stated, "We are thankful for all the support from e-sports fans for the previous Bacchus Starleague. We are very happy to be sponsoring Starleague again. We will sponsor to the best of our abilities to make this Starleague as one of the best in the history of Starleague."
'Taekbangleessang' Kim Taek Yong, Song Byong Gu, Lee Jae Dong, Lee Young Ho, and many other star players will be participating in Bacchus Starleague 2010. It will take place in Yong-san e-sports stadium. 1st place winner receives 40 million won, 2nd place winner receives 20 million won, for the total award to be given away to be 180 million won. All matches will be broadcasted live through GameLife channel on OnGameNet. Commentators will include Jeon Yong Jun, Um Jae Kyong, and Kim Tae Hyung. Also, this season will also operate Bacchus Starleague twitter at twitter.com/thestarleague.
Prelim schedules and player name list will be announced later.
In a meanwhile, OGN revealed that "Right now, we are in negotiations with Gretech through e-sports negotiation team (including broadcasting stations) regarding StarCraft IP rights. We will try our best to resolve IP rights negotiations to ensure successful operations of the league."

Nice to hear that OGN are making an effort to reconcile things with Gretech, though their situation has always been better than MBC's. Still, perhaps they can lead the way for MBC and help smooth things over.

Really happy that the OSL is going to continue for now, hope MSL is up next!
I'd toast to Jaedong's next OSL victory with some of that Bacchus drink if I knew where to get them in Singapore 
Kinda sad that Korean Air isn't the sponsor this time round though, after watching the OSL montage over and over again, makes it hard to forget their representative talking about E-sports and tearing up about it. :3

Hmm, since it's not an airline the finals will probably (hopefully?) be held inside Korea this time. The map trend this season has far less Terran-friendly maps like last season, I'm sure Flash won't take both titles, or even neither. (But of course Flash taking both was a tremendous achievement, even if it wasn't repeated he's still the strongest current player.)

It's not that impossible to see, considering Flash is the only Terran that can own Zerg consistently in Zergliner.

other people I'd like to see do well include fantasy, light, kwanro, and zero. Bisu would be fun to see win, but I don't see it happening unless he gets matched up with a Zerg in every one of his matches past the Ro16. His PvZ is a treat to see; everything else is quite boring and mediocre.

There's less truth to that than you think though. A cheese and a few failures hardly make you consistently good on that map.

The maps seem like it will be a shift in the T gameplay which will be interested. Out of the games i watched, already of note there was ggaemo (of all people :|) vs Sea and Flash vs BeSt to me which indicated mech play is being more figured out. Not like something like Match Point in all leagues which was basically 4 bases for mech and easy routes to push to 6 and 9.
