Idra: Probably FruitDealer, but honestly I haven't drawn much from anyone because I don't get to see how the Koreans play ZvT and ZvP very much, since I'm just ZvZing against them and everyone does their best to hide their play.

so he actually has to train on his own on ladder only with everyone just ignoring him?

It surprises me that so many appear to be taking IdrA's comments on ITR's performance personally, or using them to judge his character. I think a few even made the notion to compare ITR to IdrA, saying IdrA would've done worse in his shoes. I think that sort of thinking is absurd. Whether or not IdrA's opinions are correct, the previous statements do nothing but exemplify ignorance.

As some others have said in this post, ITR kept doing the same build. A build his opponent(FruitDealer) already demonstrated his ability to deny. Not only that, his style was to macro against a very strong macro Zerg. I thought at the very least, that wasn't very thoughtful play. And, I'm positive some would say harsher words about ITR's play. It's not like by commenting on his play during that series, is in any way is attacking him as a player. He obviously made it to the finals, before which he 2-0'd most of his opponents. ITR stream rolled his opponents with his relentlessness. Except in that last game, where his play seemed uncharacteristic of him. Anyway! IdrA fighting!

Yeah, we all know Idra is good and all but to say that fruitdealer just went on a huge win streak is pretty crap.

If you read the interview closely, you'd notice that Fruit Dealer HIMSELF said that he just had a good winning streak and he's not amazing or anything. But I think we all disagree. Fruit Dealer played very well.

I believe Idra respects Fruit Dealer because they both play macro heavy games. It's interesting to see Idra talk about all of Zerg's weaknesses and remain so confident. It's almost like he's saying that even with all the other races advantages, those players aren't good enough to beat him. Idra is really good... but his early game scares me the most. Zerg is ALWAYS on the defensive early on. Makes me so nervous.

Good Luck Idra. I will be rooting for you.

WTF!!!!!!!

Jeez, well it's no wonder he would rage every now and then

Who wouldn't, playing starcraft 12 hours a day every day ?

Idra hasn't really won much recently, has he O-o. He's kinda disappeared under all of the other big names emerging (TLO, Cool, Check, Maka, etc). Hoping to see him come back and win some tourneys.
Morrow on ZvP: "I'm not very confident in general vs Protoss because of the imbalance (Yes its imbalanced, get over it)."

None of those people have really won anything besides Cool since the Beta, and IdrA won the best pre-release tournament out there.

I feel like he's definitely got a pretty solid shot at winning. We'll see how it goes. I hope to meet him or at least see him when I go this weekend. Good luck IdrA!

What kind of question was that? Of course IdrA expects to win.

Really good interview, hope IdrA does well at MLG and since has a good shot at winning (probably top 5 favorite to win).

Also really surprised to see him say Kiwi is gonna be hard to beat, from the gosuguide Kiwi vs. Dimaga thread I thought he didn't think highly of Kiwi as a player, maybe he changed his mind or maybe he thinks Kiwi is good at exploiting PvZ imbaness or something.

Anyways good luck at MLG IdrA.

20 bucks says Idras new ZvT is Infestor/Hydra.

Artosis said that's what they've been working on recently.
