Here's my story. I am really really really bored and have nothing else to do so why not do this and get some useful advice.
Theres this girl that I like and would like to go out with. My problem would be from getting where I am here, to going out with her. Here's the situation.
We were both in bio class for the whole school year last year, but I had other issues I was sorting out and other matters that were pressing my mind so I didn't really pay attention to her, but now that it's summer vacation, it gives me something to do. I sort of wasted a whole potential year of doing this and a whole bunch of opportunities so I was pretty mad.
After school was out and I made my mind up and stuff, I pmed her on facebook and we had a nice litle conversation there spanning over a couple days because it was pm and I finally got her number through a really really clever plan. It would have been nice to try to hang out together or do something together in real life, but that's not really a possability.
Even though I've changed and come a long way from a fucked up childhood, my parents still don't let me do much stuff like a normal american. They think it's normal that people don't hang out with each other every day, but they don't think its normal that I sit on the computer all day because my friends are all on vacation right now. Sorry for getting a bit off topic but I thought I should explain this first. Also no partys. They don't listen to any music and won't tolerate something as simple and harmless as Ludacris They hate all modern music and would never let me have any partys either.
So the girl I am trying to go out with is a grade higher than me. We don't hang out in the same groups of friends and so that makes things hard to do to hang out with her. I don't live near anyone I go to school with, but the good thing about it is that I live about a 20 minute walk from the mall! My parents don't like me going to the mall because I have to cross some busy streets so I just go whenever they aren't home. other than that it's a 5 minute drive there and thats just about the only accessible spot I think I can go to potentially hang out with her. Problem with that is I get the feeling going to the mall just with her would be more like a date, especially if we watched a movie together so I can't really do that because I am still on the getting to know you part. Since there's no real easy way to hang out with her I am planning on just getting to know her and building up a friendship with her over the summer. I can keep in contact with facebook/texting but that's all I can think of really.
I think that just about covers my situation. Now here's another problem sort of. This is where my lack and inexperienced social behavior comes into play. I am not really the kind of person who initiated things, started conversations, went on the aggressive to learn things about friends, and all that other stuff in building relationships. During 9th grade though, I've had to learn and was forced into sort of being the initiator with things, so I'm not a complete noob at it but I don't have as much experience as I should have.
Since we are just friends right now, what would be some acceptable topics to text about and what would be considered as not giving her her own space(overtexting) and being perfectly normal amount of texting usually?
O ya, heres what I know about the girl. She isn't the flirty type of girl who would feel comfortable with starting conversations with guys, that sort of slutty type of person. I believe she's a generally girl person who hangs out with other girls. This is where I will need help on knowing if I am doing good or bad in terms of starting conversations and being the one who has to step up and start stuff coz it really is nervous to do it sometimes. Also with these types of girls, what would the best way of getting to know them better and stuff be?

Skip the 'getting to know her' part and get to know her by going out on a 'date.' Just to be safe, when ask her out, ask her if she wants to go out on a _date_ with you.
I don't know. Don't play games, I think that's stupid. Chances are she's shy, and maybe she'll say "I dunno..." and then call you back if she likes you. And if she doesn't like you, you don't really want to go out on a date with her anyway?
The best thing you can do is probably steal the car and ram it into her house to impress her.

It looks like you have some other things to work out before you try to start a relationship with someone. Like, for instance, your parents being so restrictive of you. They won't let you take a 5 minute walk to the mall because you have to cross busy streets? I'd start there and work my way up if I were you, or she's going to feel like a babysitter whose 9 year old client has a crush on her.

Well its about a 20 minute walk to the mall. I can go anywhere in my neighborhood though becuase theres no cars zooming across. Also they will keep being restrictive of me until I get out of the house and I'm not going to wait that long

I knew this day will come. I knew any time now you should start posting about girl help. I just knew it.
Maybe it's me just being old fashion but I really dislike the texting/msn stuff. I mean, you can start with that if you're a bit shy and you don't know her really well, but what you're interested in is getting to a "date" with her. Doesn't really need to be an official zomg date, just a short walk, or some time spent with here, face to face.
Even if she's more of the shy type, you can make a good impression by being confident whatever you do and say and by being the one with the initiative. Even if it may be hard at first and you will be very nervous, look confident and cool. By taking the initiative, I'm not talking of asking her to go out with you right away, but rather you're the one that needs to keep her interested.

Ok fine heres what happened.
I was originally going to take a nice stroll down to the mall, spend some time looking at sunglasses, and than find someone to hang out with for a bit, maybe watch a movie, i dont know. I had just commented on her sunglasses before I got the phone call. now I was like wtf I don't know how much sunglasses cost, where to get them or anything, and since she was a girl and she had sunglasses, I told her to text me where she got her sunglasses and how much they cost because it was an emergency! It was a fucking emergency because I had a very limited time slot, I literally ran to the mall and fast walked all the way across a couple stores before I could find an affordable pair(I brought 25$ in 1$ bills). So I needed a rough estimate asap on how much sunglasses might cost and where I could get them and since I just happened to be talking with her about her sunglasses......
So I ended up with her number, decent pair of sunglasses, and very tired from hustling to the mall really quickly lol
With my parents, its summer so I will do whatever the fuck I want. I can overpower my dad too and I WILL rebel against them if need be to be honest. They are really gay and I am really strong willed so I will get my way with them one way or another, but I prefer to avoid violence. Also I CAN leave the house, like they will drive me to the mall but they dont give me much money, if any at all, to spend on stuff unless it migiht be something such as a movie. Otherwise I just steal 1 dollar bills that have never been used from them.....ya
