it's better that hes crazy on the court and with his teammates rather than being crazy at home and beating the shit out of his wife or whatever other shenanigans he would be doing if he couldn't play basketball. let's face it, KG is really fucking dumb. the reason he went to the NBA out of HS rather than go to college is because he didn't have the grades to get into any college; if he didn't have basketball this guy would be taking out his erratic crazy behavior in a lot more unhealthy ways.

I liked that he played every minute of the game as hard as he could, whether his team was up by 20 or down by 20. I liked that he was so into the game and obviously didn't hold anything back when he played it. For a while I thought he was arguably the best player in the league simply because of his insane versatility, i.e. great passing, great perimeter shooting, great size and athleticism to guard anyone in the league, great defense. But now? He's let his intensity get out of control and stepped past the line into being an obnoxious prick. He's always been a bit over the top and prone to excess, but before that was directed to his effort and play. Now he's excessive in his taunting, cheap shots, and pride. You can be the better player or team without shoving it in everyone's faces, you can defeat your opponents without screaming at them or getting down on all fours. The qualities that made me like and respect KG in the past are still there, but unfortunately he's letting them be overshadowed by his lack of respect and class.

The only reason I don't want the CAVS to win the finals is because I'm sick of hearing about LeBron. It was just like with the Gators and Tebow. They wouldn't stfu about Tebow for like 2-3months straight and then after they won I wanted to slip into a coma. With LeBron though it's been since the summer Olympics and I just don't know if I can take an entire summer of people sucking on LeBron like they have all year.

Kobe's going to score some points with Artest/Battier on him. He'll have good games but he'll also have bad games. The biggest problem is Scola lining up with Gasol when Bynums in. On offense and defense that's just bad news. Yao can defend Bynum, but Bynum can outrebound Yao. Worse off, Brooks' quickness will be offeset by Gasol and Bynum waiting at the rim. Ariza, kobe and fisher can all force some steals and play passing lanes, Yao has trouble keeping the ball from pesky hands, and Battier relies on passing to create an open shot. Artest shoots bad shots, and you have to wonder how the Rockets are going to score. Also the Lakers can dominate the boards. THe rockets bench brings some scoring, especially against a cold shooting vujacic and farmar. The lakers bench has been the one giving up big leads, so expect more of that. THe rockets best bet is that Bynum getting into foul trouble and being injured limits his minutes. Having to front Yao can easily pick up a lot of fouls and puts Bynum out of position to get boards/protect the rim, which opens things up a little for brooks. With Bynum out, Gasol fronts Yao, which keeps Brooks open and puts Lamar on Scola. Scola can deal with that, and it becomes a ballgame. If I were the rockets, I would try to get Artest to overpower Kobe on offense and back him up to the basket. This isn't beefcake 2006 Kobe, and Kobe will get pissed and start trying to force shots. So if Phil Jackson gets hurt and unable to control Kobe, Artest gets to Kobe, and Bynum is out, then the rockets can win.
