And I might ask why is it impossible for anyone in the media to give credit to Orlando's defense?

Reminded me of that Phx vs Orl game where Shaq is introduced and he "flies" superman style having his teammates lift him =p He and Howard had a great battle. LA should resign Shaq to play Howard in future finals!

Great defenses doesn't let a team open up huge leads. The reason why Orlando is up in this series is their 3 point shooting, they're almost impossible to beat when they nail their outside shots and its part of the reason why they have been able to rally every game. When you come back from the deficits they have, part of the blame always falls on the other team, because when you think about it, even if the Cavs just play close to their starting level (when they open up leads), they're going to come out ahead in a 48 min game even if the Magic tightens up their defense and gets hot from the field. Nah it was Orlando's defense that won them the series. Boston showed how to beat Orlando's 3 point game (and Orlando just played tighter D).

Can Lakers defense slow down magics/ who's guarding who for the Lakers? Kobe guard lewis and odem guards trukoglu? can the Magics get open 3s every position like they did vs cavs ? are Lakers going to prevent entry pass into Howard like they did vs Yao? Magics defense didn't slow down #23, can they slow down #24? Cavs scores 97pts per game in the playoffs, and they played good defense (giving up only 86pts a game) till they meet the magics (scoring over 100 in 4 of the 6 games). This could be because the opponents cavs faced were scrubs till they meet the Magics. Lakers on the other hand scores over 102pts per game in the playoffs, (Rocket's defense is no push over) they held Denver to less than 100 in 3 of the 4 wins. Denver has the highest scoring average in the playoffs averaging close to 108 points a game. let's talk some Defense! We all know Magics can't score over 100 points every game vs the Lakers, if Denver couldn't do it. Can the Magics hold LA below 100 points?

i think the lakers are waaay better equipped to guard basically everyone on the magic than cavs were, they have multiple options at every position defensively and a much more versatile offense. that should have them better able to gaurd the 3pt line, esp since they have a lot more size than cavs do, being the smaller team really killed the cavs its easier to prevent the entry pass to yao becuase he's not so much of a threat when you front him. whereas dwight is an easy alleyoop target. but despite that lakers have big bodies in bynum, mbenga even josh powell to get under dwight and maybe keep him from getting such deep position. pau is similar to z in that he's soft and tall but he's quicker and might be able to do a better job of staying in front of howard without fouling as long as he goes straight up and makes howard go over him. idk how much they'll let howard go right at pau though, but it has to happen some. i know dwight looked amazing on offense in the cavs series but i do think he matched up well with z and varejao, i predict that he'll have a tougher time vs lakers. as long as bynum doesn't play liek a retard and foul out in 5 minutes. of course now dwight's confidence is sky high so who knows, and he's scary when he's making his freethrows, that's a huge key to defending him. when he's hitting freebies it really restricts your options i think the lakers will win, especially if they play like they did in the last 5 quarters of the dewnver series. of course i hope orlando stay hot and stretch it to seven games, but something tells me lakers have this
