idra did not do as badly as some of you say seriously....
his builds were good, and its a standard build. it doesnt matter if its predictable, standard play can counter everything with scouting.
since f91 went lurks a lot of the time, idra had to realy save up on scans, meaning he had to rely on scv for scouting info. f91 denied many of these attempts to scout, keeping idra in the dark for a lot of the time. this puts terran back A LOT.
he is a terran player, and sometimes, it is just really difficult to accept that you lost esp with terran. its very hard to find mistakes you made esp since idra's micro and macro are good enough for that not to be a major problem.
in the raid assault game, i almost thought F91 was maphacking... f91 got really lucky that game with the "no reason" sunkens.
idra clearly shows improvement in all aspects of play, but f91's anti-metagame style prevented us from seeing it blossom. we should support idra since he is a foreigner that is playing in korea. he represents us, and he has the skills to do it.
he really only needs a tiny more exp against these weird "against reason" builds until he can become a player capable of killing off zergs like f91.

That bolded line right there explains exactly why confidence stems from humility and arrogance stems from insecurity. If you're not an arrogant fuck you'll never be in a situation where you're "vulnerable."
Yes, it is the wrong mindset to have, as demonstrated by Draco (who was way better than nony and WAYYY better than Idra) having problems with the other team members and leaving korea because he felt unwelcomed.

i think the problem with idra is that he thinks he knows how everything works and when it doesnt he thinks it was suppose to happen "this way" and he could "win this way". he doesnt learn from his mistake and probably will focus on beating the "way" it was suppose to go. i have nothing against him but comments like this "god DAMNIT fuck 2 hat muta win or lose such fucking awful games" in jaedong vs flash in the msl group F, makes me wonder if hes not thinking any deeper into the game. 2 hatch muta isnt win or lose imo. i was cheering for him to beat F91 since he is the only foreigner in korea representing us or maybe toad lmao. but yea ill still cheer him on. he makes himself nervous by saying he will win and add more pressure to himself. IDRA JUST GO WITH THE MINDSET OF "OK LETS DO EVERYTHING RIGHT AND TRY TO MAKE FEW MISTAKES" that way u wont feel like shit when losing and gave it your best. congradulation f91. and nice write up rek haha

If you do not understand why he lost after reading his comments, then you don't understand about playing competitve games(SC or anything else).
Idra is the better mechanical player. He knows the best BOs. He knows how to counter the best ZvT build orders. He knows the map inside out.
So why did he lost?
Because he only knows the answers, but not the reasoning behind it. For example, he knows that 2-hatch is better than 3-hatch on RA2. But he doesn't know how a terran should punish the zerg for going with the less-than-best 3-hatch. This is why Idra is a B-teamer.
If you read the translations of S-class progamers, you'd find that they KNOW the game. They understand the concepts inside and out, and know how to deal with just about every situation.
