WHY DON'T YOU FUCKING PEFORM?! WHY CAN'T YOU LIVE UP TO YOUR HYPE?! I've got a lot of respect for Idra for going to Korea and sticking it out for so long. He might be BM but who gives a shit. As far as I'm concerned, like him or hate him he brings a LOT of entertainment, this thread is just another example of the "Idra" effect. Everytime he does anything hilarity ensues, from the swarms of haters to the people who stick up for him (like myself I guess). No other playing could lose a series 5-2 and stir up such a MASSIVE shit storm in the process. I just hope all the shit doesn't make him give up, because the last thing we need is another quitter. More showmatches please!

But TL loves the drama. It thrives on it. I'm calling a conspiracy on this whole scene.

And its another PERFECT example of how "game mechanics" will not win you games! I dont care if you have 300 APM or whatever, you cant win games without game sense and overall SMARTS in Starcraft! Thats why SC2 is going to be great, taking away a small portion of the "mechanics" and putting more emphasis on skill level and smarts, rewarding originality instead of rewarding idiots who practice ONE build order for 10 hours a day for 9 months. That is NOT SKILL! Anyone can get 300 APM and perfect ONE build order like IdrA, but to actually take risks and win games based on game smarts and originality, is another level, which obviously IdrA doesnt understand (and same with most foreigners, hence why theres none in Korea right now doing well) F91 has great game sense and originality/ability to not just use the "latest builds out of korea" and still win games. Congrats to him.

That being said, I think Idra will take a lot out of this defeat. I do think his pride blinds him from from reaching his ultimate potential, but this is entirely reversible. If Idra takes this defeat constructively I think he has just as much potential as any other CJ B-teamer at making the A. This is already known by pretty much everyone. I could say something cliche like "The loser learns a lesson, the winner becomes complacent." but that's not what this thread is about. This thread is about politics. I don't think Rekrul gives a shit whether or not you go home tomorrow or bring SL titles back to America. I have to imagine that other than your close friends and hardcore fans, we're just generally not too invested in your success. We would love to see a foreigner rape pros obviously, but when we wake up in the morning, we rub one out and go to work. What DOES matter to most the foreigners here, is your attitude. You have a VERY simple choice. This entire thread is a road-map on how to attain the affection and admiration of tons of nerdy Starcraft players from all over the world. I think you're lucky as fuck to be told so clearly how to be liked, and when you start being unlikable, to be given explicit instructions on how to fix it. The message is clear. Whether you think F91 is a shit player or not is irrelevant, that will only determine your success in Korea, which is a separate issue. Everyone knows it's hard to lose, especially when the expectations are absolutely massive. It takes that much more character to swallow ones pride and congratulate F91 on his win, and that he deserved it for exploiting you so fantastically. We want to like you and are, for the most part, doing our best to try and convince you to like us back but all we're getting is a cold shoulder. Treat your fans with the same respect they treat you if you want their support. If you don't give a rats ass about foreigner support, then by all means keep doing what you're doing. I really don't care. Charisma is not hard to obtain, especially when there threads dedicated to helping you with your specific character flaws. Reflect. Adapt. These are not empty words.

Noone has the brilliancy to understand this in the foreigner scene expect for Skyze, who, with his incredible amount of smarts, is going to dominate SC2 when things that require no skill like micro and macro are taken out of the game. And a foreigner's a non-korean.
