Thats rediculous, microing in war3 is not "intense" at all. The entire game you're controlling one or 2 groups of units on one screen. Speed isn't a huge issue because units have more hp. Alot more room for error. This also makes the overall game slower. You can't say that creeping is micro cuz you're playing the f'in ai. What really gets me about war3 though is the luck factor. Items can win you the game for christ sake. Sure you can click on his hero to see what he's carrying, but it's just the idea of it that's gay. Also, sometimes when u're about to kill his hero it lvls up and gets more hp which really sux lemme tell u. I understand it is a different game but imo it isn't as fun therefore not as good. You need to newb stomp for weeks till you get a high level and some decent competition.

im sure if you picked a random player from sc and put him up against someone who knows his stuff about war3 the argument would work in reverse and be put up on pro war3 sites to

but then again war3 is a shit game so...

leg,

a random bgh player from sc would agree that starcraft has no micro and all macro but just finds microing boring and macroing more fun.
So there wouldn't be any arugement, just opinions about which is funner.

I played war3 for about 7 months... the micro'ing and macro'ing is much easier since the game is slower, and less units. You just rally all your buildings to your hero and there goes your macro.. The micro isnt as hard seeing as how they have auto casting on alot of them... and if u know how to control that effectively that takes care of that, and u are left with just controlling your hero and moving your injured units to the back. I havent played that game in a while though, so i kinda forgot alot about it.. its fun at first but once the novelty of a 3d, new, different game wears off and you are left basing your fun factor on how much competition there is... thats where the game comes up shorter than a chinaman's penis.. and u get bored to death.

The games system is lazy, rally workers to the resources never have to even click one to the point again. You can rally all barracks at once, and click the hotkey for GHOUL or what not once and it builds it at all 3 lol(I think thats how I remember it). Not to mention Auto casting, and army sizes are much smaller. (Just echoing the "SC" side)

I think war3 has turned out to be a really cool game. Perhaps it is indeed a bit slower, but it has turned out to be a full game, which a LOT of people enjoy. Even though I play wc3, I'd say BW > WC3. But it's about what gives you most fun, and right now wc3 does, so I play it.

I also wonder about the aspect of replays. In BW replays came a whole lot later, and it's one of the major reasons why it's still so big. In wc3 it came immediatly, and I think that was a bad idea. Ofcourse the public cried for replays, but I still think that bnet should have stood their ground.

I thought this was a new(er) topic that I some how missed. I didn't even realise the dates until the comment about the bump. Anyway I played a game about a month or two ago(it was my 3rd game) against someone who had 30+ wins and a handful of losses. I just built the strongest troops, and crushed him. Before the game he was saying how much he was going to rape me. It was quite sad. It was also the last game I played(uninstalled it about a week ago), I found it boring and it blows on my computer.

I didnt read everything u ppl said, but I have seen some of the best war3 in europe players play offline and the micro battles are freaking intensive, and that the units have much more hp is kinda tt too, since the units does more damage aswell. And you have to pick siege vs light armor and stuff like that, which is a hell of a job. running around with the hero doing spells is also difficult. IMO it's impossible to say that game a is better than game b cuz they are so different, both in graphics and gameplay. It's more difficult to use some spells in bw which makes the game more fun Storms vs Cyclon for an example, but the B.net system that war3 has is just in another league as BW.
