---- When they increased the legion invasion scale this week and made items warforgeable, they also reduced XP for invasions. There was just another hotfix raising the exp again (not sure by how much) following discussion about the new XP amounts | ||

Holy pala: It plays really different now. You need to be comfortable to play in melee range because of the mastery, aura, short range aoe heal and to do dmg while you heal. Also like 5 of 7 heals you use are instant. This will probably not be for everyone but it is interesting for sure. But I read nothing about holy pala being considered melee now for certain boss mechanics. The mistweaver monk is considered melee for some mechanics although he is much less dependent on playing in melee range than holy pala. So this one is super weird, and I say that as monk main. Ret pala: Feels super faceroll. I can not imagine a class to be any easier. Never used so few hotkeys on anything. He is pretty bad at healing himself now it seems. Ele shaman: Single target dps is just the same as before, pretty easy. The maelstrom mechanic is very forgiving, you can almost cast your shocks whenever. His aoe dps got much worse I think. Mistweaver monk: Pretty sad that chi mechanics and uplift are gone, he is a much more generic healer now. The heals you use flow together nicely though so it was pretty fun. Seemed rather easy to play but I hope mana constraints make up for that. He is way better now in 5 man dungeons. Raid heal seems worse but I think that is generally the case with healers. The dmg you can do on the side in healing pauses is not bad. Windwalker monk: Much less complicated than before but still more than some other dps. Really good aoe dmg. Self heal is weak. In general I feel DPS in Legion will be much less demanding to play than heal. There are less abilities to use and even less utility things to do besides DPS. Healing did not get less complex and there will be mana constraints which prevent you from spamming things. Also because of free dmg spells healers might now be expected to DPS on the side while fulfilling their normal healing duties. | ||

That's my favourite raid to date. There's a rumor that Karazhan will be featured in as 7.1 dungeon. On August 17 2016 05:44 Seuss wrote: Garrisons and pointless dungeons were the primary causes behind WoD's lack of content, and Blizzard seems to have learned from those mistakes in Legion. I'm hopeful that between world quests, artifacts, and Mythic+ dungeons it will take a lot of effort to run out of things to do. I'm more concerned they'll turn Karazhan into a crappy 5-man. It deserves better than the Zul'Aman treatment. Yeah. there's a lot of "content" in WoD that was actually content....but it basically wasn't because it was pointless to your progression. Which is an awful shame. On August 17 2016 10:12 Seuss wrote: Having only 8 dungeons didn't bother me, but if they'd actually been relevant beyond the ring quest and much later Valor, it might have. Yeah. I wish they were more relevant. Even if it was like Wrath style where it was stupid easy, I kinda liked doing the chore of going into a heroic, getting my badges. | ||

Trust is a funny thing, but you can be sure that they saw their numbers drop and the negative reviews, and someone got the shit end of that stick. While there's no guarantee that it'll be the best expansion ever, you can bet your britches that they at least learned from the mistakes that WoD provided. | ||

We have had droughts since forever and every expansion they say "no more". I will believe it when I see it and not a moment before. | ||

Also, maybe someday there'll be timewalking raids. That would be awesome. | ||

The drought is an issue, I'd like them to fix, but the drought wasn't the worst part of WoD. The problem was that WoD was not much of a rain of content. So basically we had a year of drought, we got a sprinkle of rain that didn't last for long, then another sprinkle, and then another year long drought. The fact that at least Legion has a brand new class, and a brand new arena makes it 10x better than WoD right out of the gate. | ||

Oh, I think there'll always be drought, because game development sometimes make expected schedules and timelines turn into crap. It's expected, I think. But WoD was more than just drought. It was an empty world with few incentives to play other than "farm shards" and "do your Garrison quests". Those aspects, at least, should be addressed and seem to have been so far. Not saying I expect it to be perfect, but the things they have done and showed so far are totally a step in the right direction. | ||

I'm not exactly sure what people were looking forward to in WoD. In Legion theres a checklist of like 10 different things I think will be very cool. | ||

If we're getting a 7.1 trailer now, then the pipeline isn't bullshit. From MMOC: Patch 7.1 - Return to Karazhan Karazhan is coming back as a large five player dungeon with all nine bosses. *The old Karazhan will still exist, you can still go and farm it for things. *There will also be a small additional raid between The Emerald Nightmare and The Nighthold that wraps up the Stormheim story. *Patch 7.1 will also have outdoor content associated with Suramar that pushes forward the Nightfallen story. *Patch 7.1 is coming to the PTR right after Legion launches! *Encounters have been play tested internally, it is good to go. | ||

And also we will face not Malchezzar alone, but the legions he commands. Hopefully I get to draintank the blue beam again on Netherspite, hell Drain Life is my filler now, I'd be good at it :D I wonder if they're going to keep the LEGIONS of trash that are in the dungeon or cut it down to be more modern...I'd bet the latter, and I'd bet there'll be demons instead of ethereals and ghosts everywhere....I'm so excited. | ||

Is affliction gonna work in legion? Ramp up time and dungeons, and HFC didn't leave much love for affliction in raids. | ||

With 2 new raids at "launch" which will be unlocked you would assume after 2 weeks for the 1 raid then probably 10 weeks after that for the 2nd? Unless they are unlocking both at the same time like we had in MoP or was it Cata xD Blizzard has stated that they liked the gap between Highmaul and Blackrock Forge but that it was to short. So expect them to unlock with a bigger gap between them this time. No idea where Kharazan fits in this tho. And for those speculating. It is a new instance and not a remake of the old one. old Kara will still be there. | ||
