I havn't looked at Beta and yes you can use it currently on live pretty much everywhere but that is in large part because of how stupidly quick everything dies.
Dispersion will save you during moments were you cant dps but most abilities that require it happen faster then the cooldown and you would die. (Fel Reaver Blitz or lift off, Push back on Manno, Kromrok jumping away into a pool)
Many of these no longer happen because bosses die to quick at the moment.
Now the dps increase from StM is big enough that it would probably still be worth using even if you die early because of mechanics but I expect it to be less of an auto pick in actual progress raiding.

LOL I tried BM on my Hunter to see what it was like and it's literally the easiest spec I've ever played. As simple as WotLK Ret. You literally have 3 "rotation" buttons and a handful of cooldowns.

w/ some havoc demonhunter sims it looks like all of the stats are good at prepatch i700. Crit, versa, haste are all similar, within 5% or so
mastery gives much less damage (~1.4x less than crit) but it also gives a substantial amount of movement speed so it's not completely dead weight.
damage output over time also looks extremely consistent

As someone who hasn't played in 3 expansions but still keeps up on the lore (and considering coming back for legion)....I can say that so far in Legion I am less than pleased with their choices with the story and characters -.- Especially as a Troll main.

You don't have to do alllll of the pre quest do you to open up Legion right? Just need to do the instance right? You don't have to do one of those invasions?

The invasion you can skip. Tho there is a hidden achievement to do all 6 zones.
In the coming weeks more quests will open up. I am not sure if they are required but while they were active on the beta you couldn't go to the Legion zones without doing them.

As someone who stopped right after getting to level 100 and only had trash items, the invasions are great to get some solid gear for leveling in Legion.

pvp gives 710 and is pretty quick so long as your on the side that is winning in a battlegroup.

Yeah PvP was changed with 7.0 right so the gear is all equal right? Gets scaled up / down right? Well not equal but only like Gladiators > Scrubs is a real noticeable difference right?

I'm not sure if the stat thing is already in for PvP. If it is then every spec has a basic stat profile that gets boosted a little bit if you have high ilvl.
What I was talking about tho is the WoD pvp gear which is 710 ilvl (scaling to 740 in pvp) and as such better then invasion gear.

Can you get the weapons before August 30th?
Honestly, as stupid as it is, maybe the one thing that could get me back into WoW after not caring for the last 3 expansions, would be running around with a fucking DOOMHAMMER.

did anyone get the leather invasion chest or the caster staff, i did like 20-30 invasions and nothing.
Only got a mace but no offhand.

Yeah my biggest choice for Legion main is: I enjoy playing the Hunter more, but if I play my Paladin I get THE FREAKIN ASHBRINGER.

For some reason there are no offhands/shields from the invasion.
There should be a staff but it appears to be really rare.
And yes, leather chest exists.

You can get weapons, many any weapons. But no, you cant get the Artifact weapons until Legion releases. It will be the first quests you do once it releases.

I gave up on the staff after getting four one handers and already had eight coalesced fel to use. PvP offhand requires winning only two battlegrounds so I got that to pair with the one hander. Wowhead had no confirmed cases of the staff and it is marked as deprecated. I like having a sword for transmog anyway.
And through all that I haven't gotten the leather chest either. I think that's just bad luck and coincidence.

im not so sure about the chest, everyone that told me they got it got them on a noncaster
but in the end it doesnt matter too much, i dont have anything else to farm now that timewaling is gone.
