Posting a bit early! Will try to make sure the thread doesn't accidentally disappear too far down.
Been a while since I started a LR thread, and I hate waiting to do something once I've decided on it, so figured I'd post it a bit early.

On paper Code S has never looked so boring . Two random protoss , sOs , SoO . I hope the games at least are at a good level.

Ruin is improving, but I dunno if he's ready yet.
sOs/soO is the safer bet, but there both pretty beatable these days. Especially soO. Maybe a fresh face will make the ro16 :0

I wonder if sOs' Blizzcon win was too much to handle for him. I'm guessing he has a lot of pressure to perform from that win, which is evident from his recent SPL games.

the obvious choices to advance are sos and soo but considering the current meta you cannot never count out any protoss. not much recent record on soo's zvp other than a notable win against trap in spl and loss to myungsik

Nah, he has 2-6 with losing to every kind of cheese already :D Including proxy factories on Sejong, DTs on Sejong, in-base bunkers on Belshir and even tons of zerglings on Belshir as well. At least, his losses to Solar showed us that there is smartass Zerg who's like hybrid of MC and Nestea.
It won't be 32-15 from last season i guess, but he will become better and better.
But in individual leagues i don't see anything bad. He smashed his Code A group, he almost qualified for IEM Cologne (Rain, fuck you with your dark templars :D).
soO and sOs to qualify, i don't care who will be first and who will be second, they're both cute and nice <3

Just can't feel the hype around Code S this season. Like this group, should be "LAST YEARS BEST PLAYER YOOO DROPPED THE OTHERS IN THE WCS FINALS LIKE HE WAS REDEYE HOLDING A CE BOX!" but all I feel is, well, eeeh, it's in Korea... I guess...
Not been the greatest of games so far either, guess that hasn't helped.
But hey, at least there's plenty of other places to hope for great games as well.

I was going to say the same thing about sOs :D
sOs seems to deliver way better in individual tournaments than in SPL where he always gets sniped. Bo1 is too few for sOs's creativity to shine. Bo3 gets better. If he somehow gets into top 8 (got some doubt in that), he actually gets a better chance to win the rest of the Bo5/7's.

is GSL October 2011 Ro16 the worst in terms of massive representation from a single race in StarCraft II tournaments in Korea? (10 terrans)
Also, what about BW? I was checking Liquipedia and the worst cases were:
- Freechol OSL 2000 (10 zergs)
- Daum OSL 2007 (10 terrans)
- Arena MSL 2008 (10 terrans)
Am I right or did I miss something?
(I just wanna keep record of this in case of a "10+ Protoss Ro16")

I am pretty sure you are correct. Despite the shitstorm around BL/Infestor I distinctly remember October as the most imbalanced season for racial distribution for both the ro32 (20/32 Terrans) and ro16 (10/16)
