Team Razer Presents the Razer Starbow Tournament for $500
Alongside the community, we here at Razer have been following the recent explosion of Starbow with much excitement, and we’re thrilled to see a game such as this breaking the boundaries of conventional eSports. Like us, Starbow doesn’t care about boundaries – it’s about innovation and creativity, and we salute the designers of the game in everything they’ve achieved to bring this game to our screens. Fortune certainly favors the bold.
Today we’re both pleased and excited to announce the first cash Starbow open tournament in which 512 players can compete for a chance to win a share of a $500 prize pool on Sunday 19th January at 2pm EST. We absolutely believe in the importance of competitive play to test and refine games such as this, but we’re especially eager to see aspiring and veteran players alike bring their A game when there’s money on the line. We’re also happy to announce that Nathanias will be casting the event live from the round of 16 onwards, so come join us on Twitch to follow the action!
The prize breakdown is as follows:
1st - $250
2nd - $150
3rd/4th - $50
As far as maps are concerned, each BO1 round will be played on one of the 6 Starbow maps currently in rotation. BO3 games will be played using the standard map veto protocol.

I'm in the exact same boat, with Proleague, WCS starting up and now the newly anounced Shoutcraft Clan Wars my university shit is gonna suffer. :/

To be fair the StarBow devs have made quite a few new changes which are pretty cool, and the way they've implemented BW units into SC2 has been pretty innovative.

I'll watch for sure, hopefully some pros or ex-pros play. Idra wanted to play more Starbow for example. Axiom, BeastyQt, Major etc. could be epic.
Edit: Sasquatch already signed up, maybe QXC will too? I really think this will be good.

Well dearie me, things are moving quickly. A test tournament last night and now an actual tournament for money. This is awesome, let's hype the shit out of this. The future on any good esports will always rest with the community, and this is easily the best thing to come out of SC2 in that regard.

Nah guys, college is overrated. I dropped a class junior year just so I could play more starcraft. Still managed to get 3.6 GPA and graduate with a job last year.
Edit: it is a humanities class, and I dropped that so that I had more time for homework while I spent time playing SC2. LOL.
