How did they do that? Aren't they in the minority in that part of Ukraine? Is this confirmed?
They have revoked this law http://www.usefoundation.org/view/628 Which mean Polish and Hungarian too, not just Russian. Though only Russian sources for now, went through at 15:16
edit: Svoboda (who Right Sector says is too liberal, you know, the armed thugs 'watching over' parliament) is also advocating revoking Ukrainian citizenship from 'non-Ukrainian' citizens
Need photoshopped picture of Hitler personally signing the law to confirm.

This is from today. If you ask why we still have such a statue, then this is a really good question that needs to be pointed to ex-communists.
Hey, look on the bright side. I doubt that any of those statutes is more shameful than the one sitting in Berlin.
Is it Hitler or Karl Marx? I'm not aware of their statues.
Yes i can confirm, Hitler statues everywhere here.

Well one-hundred thousand Soviets died just during the battle of Berlin, so I think it's okay that they get a memorial.(Also the statue shows a Soviet soldier with a German child in his hands over a broken swastika, what's so shameful about that?)
I don't want to derail the thread, but let's just say that Americans with their current sense of national pride would never tolerate something like that being on American soil, much less in the capital. Germans obviously have a very different perspective given their history and how they have been educating their children for several generations now.
It's not a matter of pride or perspective. Germany lost the war: all this is part of the peace deal. Maybe some of it is internalized by younger generations but if they rebelled against it they would be quickly isolated by the winning powers.
Hm... there are war memorials remembering quite a lot of nations on german soil. And why would anyone wan to remove them? (and why would anyone suggest to remove the soviet ones, but not the western ones?) Those soldiers fought here, those soldiers died here, those soldiers are memorialized here.
France has several francogerman war memorials as well... And they were not dictated those by any peace deals...

So new developments on the topic should not be mentioned in the topic?

Only mass media?

Or maybe people are sharing points of view and that's one way of making sure that they understand the situation more thoroughly.

The way I see it, internet forums are rarely about convincing the person you're arguing against, but about convincing the rest of the audience.

Maybe but unless Putin and Obama are reading this forum (I mean really reading, not having the NSA vacuum this data up) then I doubt anyone on here is going to change anything in the real world.
Some oligarhs (most importantly Ahmetov and Kolomoyskiy, and Poroshenko naturally) and local high-ranked Eastern Ukraine officials claimed they would not allow for the separation of Ukraine.
Automaidan and numerous Euromaidan activists in their interviews have already claimed they would be in opposition to the current authorities. Euromaidan stays for now.

That's all arguments that have an audience to convince, not just the ones on the internet. Very rarely do you have an argument where one or both sides isn't strongly convinced they're right.

This differs from the usual stock of General Forum threads exactly how? Secondly, imagine if users couldn't select their country of origin to display on their posts. Would it help you to not overtly see that its a Serbian with that opinion, or a Pole with another? This is an international forum.
You can't reasonably expect participators to say, "Good sir, I was wrong." From discussion we learn opposing points of views and why they believe them, more news from foreign sources, etc. I would never have known that Bulgaria had a statue like that still extent or that it was painted in solidarity for Ukraine.
