pro gamer means: professional gamer
adjectives come before the nouns, you are trying to twist it, because you still really, really want to be right.
pro gamer means professional gamer, not gamer professional.
I want to see you admit you were wrong.

if you haven't been following the scene for longer than 5 months and if you are (which you said yourself) not fully informed on the subject, then why did you voice your opinion while trying to make people believe you really did know what you were talking about? =[

Oh, and travisimo... professional wrestling n : wrestling for money If you can have professional wrestling as a noun, why not professional gaming? It's a relatively new term, and so as of yet, not in the dictionary.

When speaking of a "professional gamer", it is a title, not a method of distiction, and as such is always a noun.

as a single entity it is NOT a noun, because it is not recognized as one in the english language. Just like "Pretty Beaver" is a title, but as a single entity is not a noun. btw, " professional wrestling n : wrestling for money " notice how all that is is the adjective professional(doing something for money) put together with the word wrestling? using this same method, if in the future professional gaming as a single entity was a noun, professional gaming would be: n : gaming for money(EXACTLY WHAT I SAID IT WAS) stop arguing semantics and admit you were wrong please.

This applies in exactly the same manner to professional gamer, professional football player, and professional web designer. Find yourself an English book, if you don't believe me.

Much like pretty beavers, there are many professional gamers. Notice, when you yourself say professional gamer, you do not capitalize it. Try to figure out why that is. -in response to your last post, it is very rare to see someone admit they are wrong. There have been other times where you argued with me and were blatantly wrong but refused to admit it. Unless it is merely a difference of opinion, I always admit I am wrong if I catch it. I would like to, for once, see someone(you) have the balls to announce they were wrong.

If I was a big name bw player you would have admitted being wrong a long time ago. First I will directly counter your point. A title is a noun in the same way that words are nouns. While "pretty beaver" is a title, and is a noun as a single entity because of it, it has no meaning until you look at the seperate definitions of pretty and beaver, because IT HAS NO DEFINITION. The Royal Family, on the other hand, does not simply mean a royal family, it means a specific royal family, because it has a definition in the english language. Professional gamer may be a title, but its definition can only be determined by the definitions of each seperate part of the title, because professional gamer as a single entity does not have a definition in the english language. Stop trying to argue semantics and admit you were wrong. Every single thing you have tried to argue in this thread I have directly countered.
