But soon you learn, and I hope lifes lessons hit you hard. N O N E OF YOU HAVE ANY TRUE TALENT, OR UNDERSTANDING OF THE GAME. NONE!! This goes for the top of every country that is foreign. You've got nothing. There is perhaps 1 exception to each country. AND THAT IS BEING GENEROUS!!! And even they suck. I'd rather not hear bullshit about APM either, it is not interesting, I have boosted my APM to 300+ and even 800. It isn't hard. I'd rather keep it between 120-150. Remember, I often type during games, and it doesn't have "messages sent."
Finally. I was 2100+ gamei, I am better than you with your own races. I understand the game more in depth than you can possibly imagine. You shouldn't care about a word i've said. And if you have any brain in your head, you won't. But if you're stupid. You'll deny it. If you're a clever ambitious little snot with a black heart you'd care and hate it and find a way to make it all false.
I was a legend before you started playing, even if I was cheating. And everyone back then was, for the most part. I was the most famous player, my reputation did get tarnished as it deserved to, and no none of the new children playing brood war in the foreign communities have any real skill. I commanded the crowd, I did all there was to do, except win money. (The most important part) You can fuck off, and leave me alone now. I do not ask for you, I do not ask for msg's to 1:1. I do not ask for your sick twisted minds coming at me with your ridiculous bullshit.
As for tournaments and live events? They are strictly for entertainment. When money is involved, nothing is as it seems. I do not trust them now that i've seen what happened after WDT. Your world is corrupt, and full of shit. Just like you. To the people who claim the WCG? That is a failure of nerves and lack of sleep, rather than anything else. If you ask people who have done something their entire life, and then asked to do it on the same day... it is much like asking a man to walk a balance beam over a 500 foot cliff drop. You can walk a straight line can't you? But when shit is on the line, you are scared that you may crack. And that will rule you. The millions of thoughts swirling through your head.
Finally. I hope hell exists. Because if Religion has an ounce of truth to it, it'd feel nice to know that evil people won't be coming up to heaven with you. But, I am not religious. So alas, I must be a happy little man.

Listen man, I do not know you personally, I have never messaged you on bnet, and I do not have any desire to. Playing you would be a waste of our time (you'd be bored I would lose so badly I would gain nothing).
Your fame and infamy (you have both) has gained you recognition in this community and it is from this that I have heard about you. I do recognize that you are a smart, talented individual who is more than likely personable in real life. Despite the hatred that often comes with the mention of your name, nobody has ever denied that you are skilled at this game. I do admire your success at something that I have continually failed at. I, however, do not respect you at all the way you present your online persona (you do not care about that and I do not care how you react). I am a human being behind this keyboard and your post hurts, as it reminds me of how extensives my failures have been, especially given the effort I have put in. 1. A person following a profession, especially a learned profession.
2. One who earns a living in a given or implied occupation: hired a professional to decorate the house.
3. A skilled practitioner; an expert.
Look at definition 1.
A "professional" isn't defined by the success of making his entire living off of a field, it's defined by the intention.
You're not a professional web designer because, at this point in time, you don't intend to make your living off of it - just make some extra cash for yourself.
Someone who goes to Korea for the express purpose of pro-gaming IS a professional gamer - they intend to make it their career.
As an example when Ethermoon (www.ethermoon.com) started making Strifeshadow, they were professional game developers despite the fact that they had made no money on it because the product wasn't finished - it's the intention that fits someone with the title.

In most cases, having won ANYTHING nullifies(is thata word TT) your status as an Amateur.(this is important for High School/College Sports, and things like Amateur Golf Tournaments) LeBron James accepted BasketBall Jersey's, and was no longer considered an amateur, and was no longer able to play basketball for his High School team(although his Lawyer got some kind of Waver that allowed him to play until they got a court date(and i believe the court date was after there season was over)) I'm not 100% sure on all of the details on that story, but its just an example, you can also look at the hundreds of College players each year that are no longer able to play in the NCAA because they have accepted gifts.
And, if you aren't an Amateur, then what are you?

-Ameteur : Just play to play
-Gosu : Really good and possibly wins prize money in tournies
-Pro Gamer : Plays StarCraft as his/her job

You said EXCELLED in Korea.
Blackman got third in a single tournament where he beat only one Korean. That's not fucking excelled.
Slayer WON KBK but seeing as he never took residence in Korea it's hard to call him a pro-gamer like Elky/Grrr.
NTT got third in WCG, same situation as above.
Maynard, Thor, and Pillars were in Korea for an extended period of time, but did not do anything impressive, and went home after a few months. This is not excelling.
SuperCondomUser was there on vacation, then played one game on TV which was set up out of interest of foreign players competing (though he did indeed win vs IntoTheRain).
Kenka was in a similar situation, except he played and lost in the Gamebugs Season 2 tournament.
Nazgul qualified for challenge league, then lost in first round. He played in an exhibition match vs Xellos. His missed in 1-2 others. That's not excelling.
Legionnaire and Razor have gotten a contract, but I wouldn't call getting a free apartment to stay at excelling either.
NOW, TERMINOLOGY CAN BE DEBATED BUT IF YOU DESCRIBE ANYONES SITUATION BUT GRR/ELKY'S AS EXCELLING YOU HAV A REALLY FUCKING LOW MARGIN OF SUCCESS

Use your bwcd as a frisbee...you'll only be happier for it. Start practicing some sport..I personally recommend karate. If you train as hard there as you practice bw you'll get tons of respect from real people you meet every day. As a beginner you'll probably get to wrestle with chicks too, beats any bw game if you ask me

Corbalt's rant is damn funny, probably quite justified as well. Starcraft has the lamest l33t wannabes of pretty much any game I can think of which is why I pretend to be French on battle.net (French people are always dead nice to each other). Sadly the only solution to all that shite is to become really really cliquey once you get to high skill levels which isn't that cool as it means the up and coming decent people won't get much of chance to play good opponents.
