Some people can get 100 positive comment and then 1 negative one will upset them. If somebody directed a negative comment and most of us who have commented in this thread we wouldn't give a shit, we might respond but it wouldn't really bother our day-to-day lives. Whereas this stuff is clearly really affecting the guy, he's gone from being really positive and enthusiastic to bitter and disliking what he was previously passionate about. If you look at some of the stuff in his final blog post it's clear he took what was intended as constructive criticism badly. Look at Sayle's comment for example: Without watching any of your other games or any of your casts, I already know that you have no understanding of that matchup. Now I'm not blaming Sayle by any means, I'm not saying he did anything wrong, just using this as an example, but look at how pucca internalised this. He, like most of us, has a lot of respect for Sayle, and then he gets a comment from who he reveres the most that he feels is dismissing what he's been working on. He could have taken it like "right, I need to learn a lot more and improve" but unfortunately he took it negatively, which he did for most things. There's a really fine line between joking at someone's expense and bullying, and he's clearly taking everything since as bullying. I don't like how everyone is treating him as a joke now because he was clearly very emotionally invested in it and taken it all to heart. I'm not denying the guy said some silly things but what is bullying him further really going to achieve?

I found the BW section and started to active these forums. I became a caster for iCCup and this is when I realized being a iCCup admin had its drawbacks. People on TL don't like you. If I addresses myself as iCCup.Fitz is would be a completely different conversation.

Except you missed out the most important part, which is the part I quoted from him saying he thinks he "knows the core of all MU". That arrogance/delusion/whatever is the fundamental reason why he got so much hate. Having atrocious game knowledge isn't a sin. Having atrocious game knowledge while acting like you know everything is. The things that annoyed me the most were when he would try to speak on behalf of the BW community and say things that most people in fact disagreed with. For example, I think there was some discussion in the HD AoE2 thread (not 100% sure it was this thread) about BW getting an HD remix and many BW players talked about how they actually preferred the current look. Then Pucca comes in all "guys, isn't an HD 3D remix what we all wanted?" He acted like some sort of spokesperson for the BW scene when he had no idea what he was talking about. Bakuryu even tried to point out to him that most people disagreed with his opinion but he just completely ignored him. Similar situations occurred with his overlay ideas. I posted a couple of polls in his thread that showed the majority of viewers didn't like his excessive overlays but he somehow decided that he in fact knew best and completely ignored everyone.

I think a large part of that is because despite requesting a perma-ban, he keeps making new accounts and posting ridiculous shit (see: 'Legionnaire is a nobody' or when he pretends to be his 'friend'...). If it really bothered him, you'd think he'd stop doing that.

I don't know, if he was older I wouldn't care but whenever I see younger less mature people taking things personally I get a bit worried for them cause you don't know how it will effect them. If they calm down and becomes less arrogant for example that's fine but if it looks like their taking it really badly and sort of melt down I don't think everyone laughing at them will help. I agree. I wasn't really active when all the Pucca drama was going on. And I actually thought the OP was about mending relationships at first. I don't have much I can say in either direction, but I hope the guy is doing well at least in life.

When you take a look at this thread which he later claimed it was his brother posting on his account and this thread where it's his good friend Lanzo, I'm growing more concerned that there's some truth to that statement.

Or was it? As I pointed out in the OP, Pucca somewhat reminds me of my own behaviour back in my highschool days, which is partly why I made this thread. Someone mentioned that Pucca can be a good contributor to this community if he manages to supress his rage issues, and up until his 'Pucca vs the BW world' thread series, I thought so as well and I supported him as I would support any other aspiring caster or contributor. I wouldn't mind his outbursts towards the community as well, as much as I love TL. But Pucca attacked the game, Brood War, a couple of times. I would like to believe he acted on impulse or in anger, but I think there's more to it. I just don't think he truly loves it. Hell, these days I can't even tell if he likes it. Any good community contributor should unquestionably accept the game with its flaws, in one way or another. Because otherwise, you will most likely end up being sad, mad, angry or whatever Pucca might feel reading this. I've seen far too many people wear out their stay in the community just for this type of attention whoring that, no matter how hard they try, will ultimately bring them a significant amount of hate. This, and I can't stress this enough, is especially true for a CASTER. A caster just cannot be caught with his pants down, hating on the game he's supposed to be selling to others. How many of us got hooked upon the game through someone's commentary? How many of us felt betrayed by the caster switching to a different game or even directly criticising it afterwards. We could argue if we have any kind of right to feel that way, but the fact is, it's like that for a lot of us and it's not going to change. I think Pucca would do well to take a moment and consider why he's actually going to be sitting, talking to himself for like 4 hours on a day where nothing has happened. Do you like this game? Do you think you can love it? Find that out for yourself, if you care enough. Then your casting can be sincere and you can connect with the audience. And at least as far as I'm concerned, you will then always be welcome in the community. Even if your overlays suck balls or they just don't exist at all. I didn't feel this sincerity from you, Pucca. It would be apparent in various ways that I shall not discuss, but clearly I wasn't the only one who felt this way. And you keep proving me right with your recent threads. I hope you can get over whatever rage this thread may have induced, and accept that the hate is partly coming your way for a reason. Some people were laughing at you behind your back, some may have harassed you directly. We can hopefully use this thread to draw some kind of a line here. What's been done has been done, it's stored in this thread. We can look at it 5 years later and have a good laugh. If you want to start anew and prove me wrong, I'll be wishing you good luck and offer assistance. If you want to stop trying, sorry and gg. If you want to acknowledge you don't really care and just move on, good for you. If you want to continue your senseless shitposting, well, I guess I failed altogether. As mad as it might sound, I think this thread is a good opportunity for you to choose and follow either of the 3 ways. I did not include the last part in the video to laugh at you. I also didn't name the thread a comeback for nothing. I wanted to show there might be something there and you could after all become a valued member in this community. It might be just a naive hope, but it's there. I do feel quite sad about how things turned out and got to this state, but at this point, the only one who can change that is you. Now close the thread and go fucking do it. whatever it is.
