Nobody is legitimizing robbery. From my perspective is not as bad to steal a bread to feed your kids as it is to rob a bank to become a millionaire. There are different levels of needs.Of course usually the guy that steals the bread gets many years in jail but at least morally the situations are not the same. What deathAngel did was illegal but he may have been in the situation of not having money for food and having to withstand the pressure form his parents for him to get a job(elderly in Romania arent too accustomed to the job of progamer). In the end he just wanted to follow his dream and needed a little boost become his team didn't pay him.But eventually I do think he will need to find a regular job-which is also not very easy in Romania considering he has no working experinece in any domain.Life"s tough man.we all have to do what we have to do.

He can have a second chance as far as I'm concerned, but I think he should talk to TL about it though.

Yeah, the guy is 26, so he should've gotten a real job instead of being a scum cheater. Don't want to work, kids and grown-ass men? Lie, cheat, and steal! If you get caught, you can always apologize for it. And if you don't get caught, money money money and no consequences. Other than the loss of dignity.

He got caught. By extensive research.
Get your second chance in another game.

The common misconception between "motive" and "justification" playing itself out.
IMO, nobody should be willing to pick this player up. He's proved that when push comes to shove he's willing to take the easy way out, which speaks volumes of his work ethic. While it makes sense that players often don't speak out against their teams regarding their salaries and are often desperately poor you don't hear of anybody who wants to be taken seriously as a pro-gamer going out and defrauding an entire tournament just for some money. Need money? Sell dope.

A beggining indeed. Beg for forgiveness.

Don't know quite what wrong he has done to you.he is sacrificing his parents 600 euro per moth income to pay for lan trips and not receiving any salary in return.Btw at the end of the day his parents still have to pay for food/taxes/bills etc.I honestly dont think you are south korean because south koreans on tl are generaly well mannered, well spoken and dont get involved in these minor scandals. You are probably a Romanian that hates him or a racist bashing him randomly because he can not defend himself In any case shame on you.
....Really? You make it sound like he is sacrificing himself and his parents for some greater good of humanity.
His parents are paying for his living expenses, period. Doesn't really mean anything.

No. Learn to express yourself properly. And please don't use the word 'literally' again. But enough of that.

well, everyone need money. Understandable!

Time heals all wounds. Apparently, fallout of scamming heals in exactly two months.
...
Try two years.

its amazing how many people become apologetic after being caught

To Deathangel: Fuck off, you did the wrost sort of cheating.
Would rather give a maphacker a second chance.

I agree with and also have this sentiment, especially in this case.

Some people don't deserve a second chance. You royally fucked a lot of people over and acted incredibly immature upon this information going public. People a lot better than you came from a lot worse situations without defrauding the sc2 community. No excuse. Thanks for the apology though.

This. He did this for months with no remorse and never came forward. He doesn't deserve shit.

I have a lot of time for Deathangel's rehabilitation, I know I'm likely in the minority on this but I really do feel he should be allowed back. Guy went out and was initially non-apologetic, or at least not as apologetic as he should have been. Gets slated for that, then when he comes out and apologises people are naturally going to assume that he's lying, so I do get that.
The sad thing for me is, though he didn't express himself graciously, the crux of his argument was pretty on the money, namely that Deathangel would never get a high-profile showmatch, despite making the finals of the Code A prelims twice, but Veralynn would because of the ridiculous pedestals we put any females in this community. Doesn't excuse his actions, but does explain part of the motivation.
People talk about things like '2 year bans' which are just nonsense. That's a permaban from being an E-sports competitor, if you can't play in tournaments or support yourself from the game for such a period, there's very little chance of you coming back. He's not the first to fall foul of TL as a community, and he should be allowed to rehabilitate himself if he doesn't fuck up again. Considering I recall Idra saying on a SoTG that Koreans playing on each other's accounts was pretty commonplace I don't see why DA should be completely cast out of the community.

personally i believe he's not at fault...most progamers don't get paid much at all, so when given a shot like that to make that much money powerleveling, it would be no question for a lot of people. I don't fault him at all.
