Thats pretty much against proper rules of argumentation. You can't just assume that he's going to do worse stuff.

Also, let's not forget this guy literally beat up some girls and took their money (referring to the girls only tournament)
That is one of the most figurative uses of the word literally I've ever seen. He literally defeated some girls at a video game. He didn't beat them up.

Wow...... -__- that's literally the worst use of literally I have seen on the net so far. Congrats Rif_king.

I don't really feel the sincerity from DA's past/present statements about the subject. I think he is just sorry he got caught.

When u dont have money, I can understand that you do bad things in desperation.. the guy is 26 so he can't rely on his parents or whatever. It's a bad thing but it happens a lot, atleast he apologizes.

What? lol. There's a huge difference between beating up and beating out a girl.
|
Not really. The post made it seems like he wacked some girl in the alley and stole her money, he only actually cheated some girl out of their money which isnt AS bad but still bad. However, I think we should all forgive this guy for what he has done, everyone make mistakes in their life. DA was desperate cause Esport doesnt pay for middle rung people and I could see why someone would do what he did, when youre desperate you do crazy things. I still think he deserves a second chance, way too many people fucked up way worst than he did and still got a second chance, he won what? Couple hundred dollars, 1 or 2 thousands at most, and vera paid it all back so there shouldn't be any harm. People say it should have him that paid, well, that is his and Vera problem to work it out with each other and we should just let them do that.

Instead of the negative reaction, he would have a chance of resolving the issue and getting paid, or raising awareness of himself with public sympathy so that a transfer to a team who will pay is easier. You do realize money doesn't fall from trees, right? And no, there is no such kind of sympathy in business. That leads to failure. Anyway, it's funny and very weird how people see things, when a organization frauds the whole community by not paying and lying to their players, and when a player frauds the community himself.
Not sympathy from business; sympathy from the community causing him to have a good 'story' and hence be worth being picked up.
Compare the reaction of this thread to AL not paying their players (basically none) to if DeathAngel posted a few months ago, "I'm not being paid" (outrage).

Obviously, when people break into a house or rob a bank it's because they need money and are desperate. That doesn't make it okay. The same is true for frauding money. While his situation might explain his actions it doesn't excuse it.

Coming an apologizing now when you are hoping to join a new team makes me think that you are only apologizing because you know you have to, not because you are remorseful. Of course, that is all speculation on my part and I might be wrong, but don't expect people to welcome you back because you said sorry. Actions have consequences and I'm sorry to say this, but I don't want to see DA at LANs as I think the community needs to hold players to a very high ethical standard.
|
I don't think he should be outcast, it was a mistake and he has admitted to it. It may still be too soon to let him be vindicated but I do believe he deserves a second chance, as many others I'm sure do.

So basically from like 1/4 comments i've seen of people defending DA is basically sayings its okay that if someone screws u over and not paying u then it is more then acceptable to steal money from other people and at the same time by deceiving the thousands of fans and the various sponsors who paid for the events (The woman's online tournament, the showmatches) and to have little remorse for it until u got caught.

I personally forgive the guy. Even good people can do shitty things, if they get put in the right situation. Live and learn, though I don't think his ban should be removed just yet, thats too soon.
