But you can't fix something as complex as hostile nations influencing our democracy if we only hyper focus on what they did and not the conditions that made us vulnerable. One of the main ones being: The bipartisan ability to absorb, repeat, cite propaganda. Then get confronted with facts that prove it to be false Then attack the person/entity providing the facts Then refuse to own their mistake Then (some of the decent ones) admit to some tangential error without accepting the far more devastating premise Then play victim to those that point it out the next time they try it. You just happened to provide an example I would put in a text book if I was teaching this stuff so I'm kinda attached to it. | ||

at the end of the day, this is just a stupid, ugly fight where no one wins. in the greater scheme of things, a $50m tax break on fuel is pretty negligible to delta, but they sure as hell aren't going to give the NRA their discounts back either. this also hurts georgia's reputation as the most business friendly state in the country and is a little reminder than it's still the south. | ||
