Sanders will blame the FBI at today's press briefing, just watch.
One of former White House staff secretary Rob Porter's ex-wives provided photos of a black eye that Porter allegedly gave her to the FBI a week after President Trump's inauguration last year, according to a CNN report.
The ex-wife, Colbie Holderness, gave the photos to the FBI as part of a security clearance background check on Porter.
It is not clear if the photos were given to the White House, CNN reported, but it is likely that the FBI would have at least provided a synopsis of the images.
Porter resigned from his White House post last week after allegations emerged publicly that the aide had physically and emotionally abused Holderness and another one of his ex-wives. Porter has denied those allegations.
The episode has raised questions about what senior White House officials knew about the allegations, and when. It has also prompted questions about why Porter was allowed to continue working in a position that required him to handle classified material, even though he never obtained a full security clearance.
Media reports have indicated that senior White House officials, including White House counsel Don McGahn, new about the allegations for months before they surfaced publicly.
The White House has said that senior officials were unaware of the full extent of the allegations until last week, when photos of Holderness' black eye began circulating.
Under past presidential administrations, according to CNN, security clearance lawyers in the White House counsel's office would have been given access to an official's background check file if the FBI returned it to the White House personnel security office.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said this week that the White House followed the same clearance procedures as past administrations.

Didn't even make it to the house eh?
We sure it would have passed if it did (and got a vote)?

Of the four plans voted on, the Trump backed one got the fewest votes (39). Apparently the House version is closest to that one, so it will die in the Senate too.
Starting to worry these fools may actually fuck up what should be a layup...

No, it's not weird that I would call attention to people hopelessly putting blind faith in a group that abandoned them a long time ago. Hoping, that maybe, just maybe, their righteous anger will eventually turn the right direction.

Mitt Romney launches Utah Senate campaign with dig at TrumpFormer Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has announced he is running for a US Senate seat in Utah, while taking a dig at President Donald Trump. In a Facebook campaign video, he lamented that Washington was sending "a message of exclusion" to immigrants. A vocal critic of Mr Trump, Mr Romney is seen as a shoo-in for outgoing Republican Senator Orrin Hatch's seat. The ex-private equity manager has kept a low profile since losing his 2012 race to oust President Barack Obama. Touting his management of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, Mr Romney said his adopted home state was a model for Washington DC. "Utah welcomes legal immigrants from around the world," he said in a Facebook campaign video. "Washington sends them a message of exclusion." Since his failed White House campaign, Mr Romney has served as a chairman of his son's investment firm and on the board of directors of Marriott International. ... Not to anyone's surprise really.

No, I desperately want your goodwill to be pointed in a direction that will help the exploited not those doing the exploiting. They're using you and you're actually really close to seeing it. Maybe me being so confrontational contributes to your unwillingness to let go, the nature of the internet probably helps too, but please, don't let yourself keep getting wrapped up in their kabuki if you really want to help people like the service member you mention.

There are lots of people slowing down ICE and preventing deportations and they aren't waiting until November or for congress's shame or hypocrisy overwhelm them.
How easily they can slip the mind of someone distracted with the play.

They could have agreed to a massive larger-than-DACA amnesty if they weren't so committed to keeping the spigot open. Instead that plan was "making America white again" (which was incorrect). T hs GOP wass so desperate for something many of them accepted 1.8 million path to citizenship instead of legal status for 700k.
The few "Dreamers" that might get deported is worth the PR for the Democrats.
|
Not only that, but if the Republicans were truly working hard, they could pass a DACA bill with no help from the democrats at all. You want to see bad publicity? A democrat fillibustering a bill that would actually help Dreamers.. that would end their career, lol. But the Republicans haven't even managed a bill that can pass a simple senate majority yet.

The few "Dreamers" that might get deported is worth the PR for the Democrats. Trump killed the bill. His administration’s bill only got 39 votes. The master plan to cut down on legal immigration will never through congress because it is a terrible idea and no one by the limited number of immigration hardliners supports it. You can whine all you want about the democrats, but it was the WH that said it would veto the bill that had the best chance of passing.
