It's a neat trick though, if the Democrats put more sensitive material in there and it has to be changed they can cry about it. Just ignore the FBI huffing and puffing now. Pretend it doesn't matter.

Same process! It's a neat trick though, if they put more sensitive material in there and it has to be changed they can cry about it. Just ignore the FBI huffing and puffing now. Seriously, these convoluted theories are cute, but this is a simple man surrounded by simple, incompetent people.

It is fun though that you can just ignore that the FBI had complaints about this one too. The other memo did have edits they wanted, but didn't retract all names. There will be a Dem memo.

A Republican who has read the memo. On February 10 2018 10:58 Introvert wrote: But you a Democrat memo comes out. And it will be longer than the GOP one. Come on dude. Trump ignored the FBI on the last one, but not now? Come on. None of us are dumb enough to think Trump gives a shit about the FBIs concerns.

The plan could not possibly be to delay it for several months until no one cares...oh wait its exactly that because the only time the concerns of the FBI matter are when those concerns help further his goals. Otherwise he has been shown to not really care about them.

The onus was on the Republican memo. It overran the DoJ and FISA courts to purport some misdoing. It failed in that purpose by any legal or even ethical standpoint. In fact, its assertions seem to have been completely misleading. Any action taken by Congress against the DoJ or FISA would require a rigorously substantiated claim, and the memo is the opposite of that. A counter-memo response isn't really necessary. It would be fair and democratic, from a public-affairs standpoint. So, it's good the Democrats made the "effort". But, water is wet, Republicans are shameless hypocrites, and Trump isn't going to release a Democrat statement that corrects Republican "records". Investigations don't work off talking-point memos. And that's something that's obviously going to be more apparent in due time, as the current indictments become convictions and more indictments are probably made. They can argue Carter Page's innocence (Jesus wept), while Trump's campaign-manager is convicted for Russian money-laundering.

No one is ignoring the FBI's complaints, this is a rebuttal memo and is necessary given what has already happened. I mean all it probably has is what Nunes has already stated, which is that the FISA judge was informed there was political backing to the Steele info. Not that your "Dems are being hypocritical about this memo" theory was coherent.

I don't expect every DoJ official to be a dyed-in-the-wool patriot yearning for a lifetime of service, but I think for the #3 DoJ position, we should seek a little more fortitude and patriotism than that. I'd say good riddance, if I had any faith in Trump appointing anybody fit for the job at this point. But she should be publicly condemned for quitting for personal gain, and at such a tumultuous time. 9 months.

Cue nbc shit coverage rant. They have affiliates everywhere to make it about locals. I can understand cali folk not giving a shit about Duluth bios but I do. A Stillwater girl is a chance at winning nortic metal. Thats interesting to me. I don't care so much about summer Olympics because regionalism.

It’s become abundantly clear that Trumps team is rotten and the Justice Department can’t do shit about. That is on congress. I see this, but it is a public-service position. So, yes, I want some self-sacrifice, damn it. I certainly hope Rosenstein is made of sterner stuff.

Knowing a lot of public service folks, they need to have faith in what they are doing and not feel like their career could end at the whim of some orange clown. Staying can be viewed as approval, also.

But now, it's just like... bye.

In 100% of cases, NBC coverage is gutter tier trash and where possible I watch alternatives. The difficulty of finding those alternatives should shed some light on just how much I dislike NBC’s coverage.

Well the DOJ, FBI and congress are the three main areas that can hold the president accountable it seems like congress is not interested in doing that and will also spend their time to undercut the other two with the president.

And I know the media and her associates are fawning. I'm not. Kind of disgusted.
