The unemployed 23-year old from the Paris suburb of Argenteui was seized after expressing an interest in acquiring a real machine gun in a video game chatroom, according to RMC radio. He threatened police with a kitchen knife during the arrest. Officers found three knives in his car, the radio reported.
His computer contained a search history of potential targets. Has nothing to do with US Politics, but how would the donald react if this were to actually have happened. It's definitely a pressing issue when "Nationalist" are turning into " home grown terrorist"... Still don't get why Macron invited Trump though. That's simply bizarre and very costly politically at that point.

Steve Bannon is causing a stir inside the administration by pushing an idea that's anathema to most Republicans: raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans to pay for steep middle and working-class tax cuts. (Some officials who've heard Bannon's idea think it's crazy, but the President's chief strategist believes it's a potent populist idea.) Bannon has told colleagues he wants the top income tax bracket to "have a 4 in front of it." (The top bracket is currently 39.6% for Americans who earn more than $418,400.) It's classic Bannon – pushing a maximalist position that's reviled by the Republican establishment. https://www.axios.com/scoop-bannon-pushes-tax-hike-for-wealthy-2452197801.html
That's the most interesting part of the story, later it talks about the Trump admin wanting to ash corporate tax rates to 15%.

Thw wording really needs some work, lol.
A typical maximalist position when he wants a 4 in front of it instead of the current 39.6 :D
Next headline: Huge price spike at McDonalds. Hamburger now 1$ instead of 0.99$

I read it as swap the 3 for the 4, so 39% becomes 49%...but that is just my fools dream

The entire idea of the "dollar menu" has been hard to reconcile with inflation. Shit's been happening for a while.

Next headline: Huge price spike at McDonalds. Hamburger now 1$ instead of 0.99$ 40% is pretty damn low for top bracket anyway.
Never thought I would agree with Bannon. It feels weird.

Did you forget his reaction when a home grown leftie terrorist shot one of his party's legislative leadership? It was downright presidential, as rare as that is for Trump.

And it also reminds me of the funniest article I read all weekend. Appalachian Wrestling's Greatest Villain: 'The Progressive Liberal'Would donate a significant portion of my personal net worth to watch Trump get hit by The Liberal Agenda.. Thanks for the sanity break. It's straight up funny, as opposed to some call to violence. You can call it painful in the larger context since if follows so soon after his idiotic 'Morning Joe' rant. Like I was reading earlier, the operative term is symbiosis. Trump does his shit, media does the same back, everybody gets better ratings, both bases cheer.
I don't know if he got lucky directing his narcissism cannon at truly vile characters, or his history in reality TV/personal contacts just taught him how reviled the political journalism class is to the right in America.

The tweet is not funny. Its sad that a president of the united states thinks its something he should tweet. CNN is probably laughing all the way to the bank since Trump is making them rich,

its funny in like a bizarro world way but not presidential in the least. so given the context, i don't find it particularly funny.

And iirc that gif was pretty hold? I atleast remember similar ones.

It elevates WWE pro wrestling to actual threats. It's fucking hilarious, and I say this even in front of the backdrop of all his stupid tweets and what an overall failure his presidency will likely be. Didn't you see StealthBlue linking tweets examining the meme poster's other submissions, like we're supposed to tar Trump by his association with a memer? It's obvious how Trump profits and yet people still manage to miss it.

Trump profits by....still being a hero to his base? No one else really likes his stupid twitter antics. But hey I guess that is all he has got since his presidency seems to be Lame Duck since day 1, but hey he sure can give it to the media and the left! So sure let his 30ish% fanboy base continue to get high off Trump memes while the Trump loses everyone else and his agenda goes no where. Added bonus: his stupidity is even disrupting the already fragile congressional GOP agenda too. So yay for the left I guess, they don't even need to obstruct.

He profits by lining his own pockets but to be able to do so he needs to stay in power. He does that by being a hero to his base which is a significant part of the Republican party.

I'm part of another forum. a bodybuilding forum which i regularly visit to get advice on lifting etc, there is a miscellaneous section which i sometimes take a look at, its like the right wing version of TL maybe a bit more extreme and is mainly made up of American conservatives, obviously a hell of a lot of Trump supporters and everytime Trump tweets his usual stuff the more they support him, its like he can do no wrong in their eyes, of course the same goes for pretty much any politician and their support base but Trump is particularly interesting as he basicly memed his way to presidency, and the more dumb stuff he does the more of their support he gets, its insane.
I don't believe that the meme advocated violence but it does show just how so many people are past the point of no return, where people not only accept this kind of behaviour from their country's leaders but also support it. I blame the current toxic political climate.

I mean if you don't read and learn, you'll be left with "... this?" I explain, you dot dot dot question mark. Very effective.
Let's see, the strategy seems to be behaving like a total fool in your manner of attacking him, and reminding people that the other side is stupid as hell. Incredibly effective. You want to leave people without good choices, you elect another Trump. If you want to yourself learn, read my examples, and cease only deflecting too "But his legislative agenda!" "But the congressional GOP agenda!" Newsflash: we already know his agenda is shot to hell. All that remains is behaving like clowns to remind others you are just as bad.

I blame the current toxic political climate. toxic political climate certainly doesn't help; especially the people who intentionally made it toxic for their own benefit. as churchill (or wohever said) "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter."
so many people are unable to recognize the quality of various choices and alternatives. danglars is a good exemplar of that.
