It is difficult, and maybe not even rewarding compared to the costs, but thats why they call it public service. I've yet to make it onto local committees even. I'm a REALLY terrible salesman. mostly I don't try that hard. It's a lot of work getting elected, far more than a typical job application. local politicians, to dislodge you need to be known; the known/unknown difference makes incumbency extra strong locally. sadly, a lot of local positions aren't even contested elections; not much democracy can do if the majority of hte posts only have one person running. only so many sacrifices i'm willing to make for public service, and clearly not enough to get into the positions; at least not the elected ones. not that i'd win anyways, I'm really bad at elections.

Constantly whine about being under powered for no good reason. Force fields are gerrymandering. Democrats: Terran - claim they have it the hardest. Their build orders are complex and have a lot of options, but people use the same trick over and over. Can call in donations form the sky to boost their economy. End game is terrible, or so they say. Demands to be buffed all the time and whine about everyone else being OP. Zerg: Leftist - Crush terrans out of the opening bracket, then lose to Protoss in the finals. Claims terrans are OP and cheat. Sometimes bitch about protoss, but its mostly terrans fault for forcing their race to be designed badly. Demands lurker(single payer)

India's on a good uptick ... 2015's growth canceled out all China & USA's cuts according to EU sources. co2 reduction seems to be a completely lost cause unfortunately. No one is doing anything significant,it is filled with hypocracy and double standards in every country. Europe is no different then usa in this but Europe acts like they are much better, well they are not. Norway for example filled their own country with green energy and electric vehicles, its a drop in the ocean compared to the emissions of their exported oil. As soon as money is involved co2 reductions are pushed away and I can give a ton of other examples for this. Every small reduction in one sector is nullified or worse by increases in other sectors. The 1.5 degree max for rise in temperature will prove to be completely unachievable , oil production and consumption is still rising every year. The harsh reality is that we wont be in time, that much is clear to me. World co2 emissions will probably keep rising till the end of this century and maybe even the next. Since reduction of emissions has proven to be impossible to achieve (because money is a bigger drive) maybe we should start switching priority from trying to prevent,to trying to prepare for what inevitably will come. Stop building in areas that are potentially threatened by rise in sea levels for example, even though they are often the most attractive areas.
