Conservative provocateur James O’Keefe III said on Tuesday that he will soon release “hundreds of hours” of unaired footage secreted out of a major news organization. The footage could come as early as Thursday, he told Fox News host Sean Hannity during a radio interview. The footage was provided to him, O’Keefe said, by people inside the network. ... O’Keefe said he’d be releasing the footage “WikiLeaks-style.” ... O’Keefe wouldn’t divulge which particular network would be hit, but said it was one President Donald Trump has spent much time talking about recently. “It’s the one he’s always targeting,” O’Keefe said. That would seem to suggest CNN. Trump has been on a tear against the network since it revealed the existence of an allegedly embarrassing dossier that intelligence agencies were investigating. ... O’Keefe’s organization received $10,000 from the Trump Foundation in the spring of 2015, shortly before Trump announced his presidential candidacy. Trump also called O’Keefe after the election to thank him for his work, O’Keefe revealed at a recent private dinner that was secretly recorded. Huffington Post

I have 0 trust in any revelation coming from his side, and he has so much baggage that he can be instantly dismissed by a 'but that guy lied about yadayada, why should I believe him now'. Probably further adds to the information divide though. But I mean, he's basically a right-wing, significantly less credible Michael Moore with worse production values. Look at the reaction of the source he leaks about. Leaks of true information have a habit of making themselves known, because sooner or later someone will confess,

It's an optics thing. Do something beyond the pale, then everyone is relieved when you change it from beyond the pale to just "mildly offensive"

But it does need to be true.

I can already hear the media screaming Tuesday that this is all unsubstantiated, but this just worsens the discourse...

Just wait for corporate media to sum it up for you, their "highlights" should cover much of it. One that sticks out to me is that they didn't even mention medicare for all, which when compared to the support of repealing Obamacare (which consolidated Republicans) should obviously be the path to winning back the house and presidency. I'm just impressed at how oblivious they could still be. Another lowlight was them explaining away meeting with big $ donors instead of attending the women's march. They could just admit that the Democratic party can't function (as it's currently constructed) without trading their ideals for campaign cash and we could decide if that's an acceptable state of affairs or not. Instead they just try to tell us that it's a forgone conclusion that they have to party with wealthy people and pander to them if we want to have a Democratic party. Neglecting that it's that specific understanding within the DNC establishment that is so off-putting to the people they only see/care about around election time (the millions of Americans they are trying to get to vote for them).
