How about option 6. Within a year he will assume purely ceremonial role and Pence will be the President in all but name.

I don't think Trump could be trusted to act as a powerless figurehead without exerting just enough power to fuck it up

Under 4 or over 8. I don't see how this could go any other way

over 8?
I would agree with you if it was under a full term or two terms.

Thats the point, if this goes on like this he will either get kicked out or pull a putin/erdogan.

A less-than-half length term by succession doesn't count towards the limit.

I just can't see him last more than a year. He's antagonizing so many important people. Alternatively he could go full Erdogan and arrest everyone he doesn't like en masse for a feigned reason. Once enough voices are silenced and his twitter is the only truth, well we are in for a ride.

this is rather silly. lets first understand the gop.
the scenario in which gop lets trump be a figurehead but controls policy is a scenario in which the gop would act to oppose trump with forceful methods...for policy and professionalism? LOL. they are fine with treason.
let's be serious. the only way the gop acts is if there is something that is so bad it forces them to act. in that case trump is either out or in.

Given that he didn't disobey the court order holding up his travel ban, comparing him to a dictator is too far out there.

Yeah there's no impeachment unless there's even worse leaks on Russia. Probably much worse. So I don't think it's likely.

He did send his right hand man Miller to loudly state he thinks judges are not supposed to question the president. And single out the judge that ordered the holdup as a so-called judge. And say they are threatening the countries security by not listening to him.

Erdogan didnt start his run with randomly attacking judges, i doubt putin did. Give this a little time until he feels really cornered.
I hope it won't happen.

.. You guys actually think the US even has the slightest chance of transforming into a dictatorship?? Lol
Don't confuse Trump being Trump with something more sinister.

At worst they express disappointment with a final ruling after years of litigation. No White House has put judges on blast after a TRO was denied.

Cross-post from Euro thread: Mattis says that NATO Europeans have to spend more or the US will help them less.
Good call, Europeans barking loudly from the sidelines while expecting the US to defend them gets tiring after a few decades.

Don't confuse Trump being Trump with something more sinister. Trump would love it if he could be a dictator. He has no respect for the process, separation of powers or goverment itself. Just because he is terrible at being one doesn't mean he doesn't think it would be great.

News flash Plansix, every single thing about this whitehouse is unprecendented, getting worked up over such minor details makes real implications of these russian ties (and lying about it) less serious. Stop crying wolf over the small things.
