Depends on HRCs 2 years. As she is blocked by the reps, she will look like a lame duck and will have a hard time to turn this on the Reps. Obama couldnt do this 6 years long and he has much more personal appealing to the people. Maybe the Reps stop any supreme court nominations for years. It depends on if the Dems get a majority in the Senate. If they get a 50/50 split, the VP is the tie breaker and they can change the rules of the senate to confirm SCOTUS nominees with a simple majority. It would be insane, but the filibuster has been abused so much in the last 16 years, I wouldn't be surprised.

Not only punished but also in 2020 as well. Like in 2014? I don't think posters here realize how unwilling people are to hand the entirety of the federal government to Democrats. They might be pushing their luck, but I wouldn't be so certain. I will say that, if the Republican Party continues to be so dysfunctional that we cannot elect a ninth justice for four years, their presidential primaries are going to look even crazier than this year's. Because by "people" you mean "Republican Voters".

Well there has been a lot of stupid cases that were tied but would have went badly if Scalia were still on the court. It's certainly an interesting change of pace.

On November 09 2016 10:09 FiWiFaKi wrote: NC at +7 for Hillary right now is very unexpected, Ohio a landslide right now as well, hmm. look at where the reports are comming from though. Ohio has 12% reporting and you see lots of big cities already filled in blue. So chances are those areas are over-represented right now. Virginia being the exact opposite with 36% reporting, a safe Clinton state according to pretty much everyone and she's 10 points behind. Then you open up the map to see what's reported and what not and you see all that south-east area still completely grey. so still really meh atm
