I personally don't really care, but the image of Hillary going down like that is very bad and will certainly take a toll on her candidacy. Some people are going so far as saying that she effectively lost the campaign today, but I wouldn't go that far.

because then the conspiracy nuts would have claimed that she has brain cancer and is using pneumonia to cover it up. There's really no way to win with this and I assume they just wanted to sit it out if possible

Cheney unloads
Defeating our enemies has been made significantly more difficult by the policies of Barack Obama. No American president has done more to weaken the U.S., hobble our defenses or aid our adversaries.
President Obama has been more dedicated to reducing America’s power than to defeating our enemies. He has enhanced the abilities, reach and finances of our adversaries, including the world’s leading state sponsor of terror, at the expense of our allies and our own national security. He has overseen a decline of our own military capabilities as our adversaries’ strength has grown.
Our Air Force today is the oldest and smallest it has ever been. In January 2015, then-Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno testified that the Army was as unready as it had been at any other time in its history. Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert testified similarly that, “Navy readiness is at its lowest point in many years.”
Nearly half of the Marine Corps’ non-deployed units—the ones that respond to unforeseen contingencies—are suffering shortfalls, according to the commandant of the Corps, Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr. For the first time in decades, American supremacy in key areas can no longer be assured.
The president who came into office promising to end wars has made war more likely by diminishing America’s strength and deterrence ability. He doesn’t seem to understand that the credible threat of military force gives substance and meaning to our diplomacy. By reducing the size and strength of our forces, he has ensured that future wars will be longer, and put more American lives at risk. WSJ
Obama's presidency truly has been historic, no joke.

Id rather take that criticism then collapse in the middle of a 9/11 memorial ceremony. She was doing well regardless of the attacks from the right side with her polling, etc. This is a devastating blow to her campaign to have her collapse in public then caught on camera.

Are we supposed to take Cheney seriously? He was the VP during what is widely agreed upon as one of the worst presidencies in American history, and he definitely contributed to how poorly it went.

"Some people say"
Trump pulls this crap all the time.
Anyone who is saying that she lost the campaign today is delusional.

PS I agree that with that other guy that the opinion piece by Cheney doesn't mean much, considering how badly his administration screwed up.
PPS now cheney's someone who shouldn't have been VP for health reasons. never did like that.

You're stretching this pretty far to try to damage her credibility with it. It's pretty ridiculous to expect a candidate (or the president) to instantly come out and tell us whenever they're ill.

People would have given her shit for skipping the memorial and they would have given her shit for being sick. Kind of a no win situation and she may have gotten the worst outcome out of it. People will forget about it if she shows up sharp at the debates though.

We had this exact conversation about 3 or 4 pages back.
Pneumonia isn't the end of the world. People walk out of the ED with an antibiotic prescription and orders for best rest all the time with it.

I personally value honesty above all else, like what Gary Johnson did when asked about Aleppo, he flat-out admitted he didn't know about it. He should have, by far, but he was upfront about his lack of knowledge and I ever so slightly gained more respect for him

So Clinton has pneumonia... So they take her to her daughter's residence where a 2 month old newborn is and then she hugs a child as she walks out.... I mean really?
Trump might as well take the week off as the Clinton camp can't stop shooting themselves in the foot.
|
Given that Hillary's campaign said the cause of the earlier incident was the heat, then allergies, then finally admitted it was pneumonia, I have no reason to think that they're finally being honest. This just makes it seem more and more like she has a severe illness

This whole situation just screams bullshit.

It's about time though that Hillary paid back Trump for his comments on Khzir Khan.
These two are in a constant one up show trying to out do the other on how bad they can make themselves look.
