Yeah let's elect, as thinking conservatives, someone who wants to put a 45% tariff on Chinese exports.

My favorite part is that they want to cut spending due to a tab their party ran up during the Iraq war. Who goes to war and cuts taxes on the richest people in the country at the same time? Idiots, that's who.

The Biden vs. Ryan VP debate last election cycle basically showed how much of a charlatan Ryan was. When pushed towards specifics he was shown just to be a bad liar.

I am still in awe at Trump's tax plan. Who are the clowns who wrote this shit? He makes Ron Paul look like a wonk.

People that believe goverment goal is to stifle creative people trying to be productive. That efforts to stop climate change is the government being a "nanny state". Trump will whine about how the goverment gets in the way, but will run to the court the instant someone does something he doesn't like.

Its like the sovereign citizens we deal with some times. They will claim up and down that the goverment has no power of them, while demanding that the goverment force my attorney sand client to pay them in gold.

http://freebeacon.com/issues/va-drops-millions-delayed-solar-power-projects/

According to investigators, all of the projects were supposed to be finished in about seven to 12 months but instead were completed—or remain expected to be completed—on average, within 42 months.

The contracts for the 11 projects reviewed by investigators totaled about $95 million, though some have become more expensive because of poor planning and delays. The VA spent more than $408 million on its “green management program” solar panel projects between fiscal years 2010 and 2015, according to annual budget records. During the same period, veterans died waiting for care at VA hospitals where employees were using dishonest record keeping practices to conceal long waits for care.

Sorry, Trump is literally such a bad candidate that he can't even get over the incredibly low bar the media have set for him. Literally all he had to do was not get in a pissing match with a Gold Star family and not be a conspiracy theorist and act like a semi-normal human being.

The media didn’t find that convention speech frightening. The majority of people polled on all sides found that speech to be frightening. It is not the media’s fault that Trump is a poorly educated con-man that abuses the English language on a regular basis.

And solar power didn’t kill veterans. Congress not addressing the long standing issues with the VA did that. They did provide the VA with money for solar power conversion. But it’s not like the VA can spend that money on anything else without committing a crime.

You do understand she does silly lighthearted stuff right? That's her bit. She's not hard hitting journalism and that's been her shtick for decades. Pointing at Jeanne Moos as some sort of evidence of the left wing media man keeping Trump down is laughable.

I am sure the man was exposed to education during his life time. It was likely high quality as well, since he is wealthy. But existing in a college and obtaining a degree means very little if he makes zero effort to use the minor amount of information he appears to have absorbed.

Speaking of college, did you hear Donald Trump is refusing to release his transcripts? That's what all the best sources, the most tremendous sources are saying, and if they're all saying that Donald Trump had poor grades, I can see why Donald Trump would want to cover up his transcripts. I'm not claiming that Donald Trump failed classes, but that's what these excellent sources are alleging, that Donald Trump did not have tremendous grades.

As with the vast majority of people born wealthy that I know, I'd bet Trump just decided to get a throwaway education at a high ranked school and then used the connections that come with being born wealthy to become even more wealthy. From what I've seen that appears to be the case.

The venues that will host the presidential debates are drawing up plans for a three-person forum that would provide a lectern for a third-party candidate to stand on stage next to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

The directive comes from producers working for the Commission on Presidential Debates and it’s meant, they say, to force the university hosts to be prepared and not as a reflection of the state of the race. But it could give supporters of Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein hope as they push an alternative to the historically unpopular major party nominees.

“With [former Gov.] Gary Johnson polling in some places more than double digits, they might have, some of our production people may have said, ‘Just in case, you need to plan out what that might look like,’” Commission on Presidential Debates co-chair and former Bill Clinton White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry told POLITICO. "We won’t know the number of invitations we extend until mid-September."

To participate in one of the four general-election debates (three for president, one for vice president), candidates must be eligible for the presidency and "appear on a sufficient number of state ballots to have a mathematical chance of winning a majority vote in the Electoral College,” the commission announced last year. They also must have a level of support nationally of at least 15 percent as "determined by five selected national public opinion polling organizations, using the average of those organizations' most recently publicly-reported results at the time of the determination."

Johnson is hovering around 8.8 percent in national polls, according to RealClearPolitics’ average, whereas Stein, when included in polling, is at around 3.8 percent. Despite being below the 15 percent cutoff, there might be some flexibility in getting someone like Johnson on stage. Frank Fahrenkopf, McCurry’s Republican counterpart and co-chair on the commission, told CNBC last week that the commission may “consider giving an inch” to a third-party candidate if he or she is close enough to the cutoff point.

On the "people are saying" Roger Ailes tactic. I remember there being a clip, from the daily show I'm pretty sure, of Stewart going over it. They start off the morning with Fox and Friends creating some nonsensical rumor, then later in the day the narrative becomes "people are saying" whatever thing. They start the rumor mill themselves on their morning tabloid show, then they feed themselves off of it as the day goes along. Its the same thing Trump does courtesy of his good friend Roger. Maybe someone else can find the clip.

So the VA sets a budget, full of money to be wasted on green bullshit, requests it from Congress, the projects go over budget and take 3x as long if they get finished at all, and this is the fault of Congress - let me guess, Republicans? Not the people who run the VA appointed by the Obama administration, not the appropriations committee in 2010 when it looks like this started and both houses were blue.
