Only with the ignorant (which sadly is a significant number of people). Nothing Trump has said or done makes him uniquely superior with dealing with ISIS/Islamic terror. In fact, quite the opposite.

Apart from banning muslims entering the USA you mean?

That makes him inferior, actually.

It's a hell of a lot harder to set off bombs if you are not in the vicinity.Isn't this Molenbeeck district of Belgium where the Paris attackers lived 40% muslim? Of the 1.5 million muslim migrants that entered Europe last year we know there were thousands of ISIS.Nuff said.

No, not 'nuff said'. How are you going to tell if a Pakistani immigrant is Muslim or not?
You needn't be a genius to lie about that.

Or, for that matter, a European immigrant.

Yeah, Pakistan was really just an example for a country that would make it difficult to judge.

You do know they can just lie right? That is how spies work, they lie about who they are. If you ban all Muslims, they will just find a way around the ban. They will live in Canada for a couple years, pretending to be Buddhist. Banning all Muslims isn't going to make you any safer or stop anything. Its just something someone who doesn't understand how terrorism works says to please a crowd of people who don't understand how terrorism works.

You needn't be a genius to lie about that. Even if they're not a terrorist, smart immigrants will simply claim they're non-religious to avoid the scrutiny.

Have you realised that you cannot have loose borders and a generous welfare system concurrently yet? I think Sweden is finally getting the message.

Make it harder to claim welfare, cut welfare and the flood will become a trickle.

Ok, just keep letting millions flood into Europe every year then, with the inevitable explosion in these terror attacks. That policy has worked great so far.

They would try to commit the terrorists attacks no matter how many refugees and Muslims were traveling to Europe. If you ban Muslims, they will figure out another way using the amazing power of lying and false passports. Banning Russians wouldn't have removed Russian spies during the cold war. The fact of the matter is a lot more terrorist attacks are stopped than are successful.

They want people to attack Muslim communities so they can recruit more people. Trying to ban/expel Muslims from the EU just plays into their hand.

Nice Troll. Would read again.

Oh wait, are you serious? Have pork stations at the ports of entry to try and ward off Muslims? Hilarious.

Ok well we will have to agree to disagree but personally i think the more muslims in an area the more likely some are radical and the more chance of an attack.Plus the more that come the harder it becomes to integrate them and they become parallel societies.Anyway, hope the multiculti works out alright in the end and we can all come together and toast marshmallows whilst singing kumbaya.

Your policy of banning all Muslims achieves nothing positive and only has negative effects.

1. It wouldn't hinder potential terrorists from coming -- they would lie about their religious affiliation, and at the end of the day the screening process would not be more thorough than the one already in place.
2. It would give weight to the "us vs them" narrative that extremists are pushing, thus making it easier for them to recruit (including within the US).
3. It would be an additional incentive for terrorists to target the U.S. specifically.
4. It would make it incredibly more difficult for the U.S. to work with predominantly Muslim countries: not only would their governments be angry at the U.S. for the ban, but they would also find it much more difficult to justify working with the U.S. to their population. This would therefore be extremely counter-productive in efforts to combat terrorism.
5. It would shed a very negative light on what the U.S. stands for, and have a negative effect on the U.S.' "soft power" as well.
6. It would make the Muslims living in the U.S. feel terribly ostracized.

I don't even want to get into the legal issues. In short, it would be a terribly short-sighted, utterly ineffective, and completely counter-productive idea. It is a profoundly stupid suggestion, which only serves to highlight how little the people who defend it understand the issues at hand.

Tends to become a lot harder to integrate the current Muslims living in your country when other Muslims aren't allowed to enter the country due to being branded a danger to the country(and that is how it will be percieved). You think muslims will want to integrate then?

Unless you mean deporting every Muslim in which case, eh.

Just picture trying to deport all Muslims? Everyone denounced Islam publicly and hides their religion from the government, because that is what would happen. Then we have hearings where evidence is dragged out proving people are Muslim and should be deported. No possible way that would feed into the narrative that the West wants to destroy Islam.

That argument doesn't work because the people in favor of these Muslim bans are trying to destroy the Islam.
Telling them "this is what you wanne do" doesn't really deter them.

No. That will never happen, because we'll just force them to at all times wear a crescent moon badge prominently displayed on their clothing.

That is when they are still living among us and are not being concentrated in specially constructed camps.

What I have noticed is, that among school shooters, terrorists and other rampages >95% are men. Have you considered banning men from the US? I mean, you would probably ban a few innocent too, but this is obviously acceptable in those times and the US would be a much safer place afterwards.
And to test if someone is a man, is much easier then checking their religion. Also the consequences for foreign policies etc. may be less bad with this broader approach. And as a nice side effect you would get rid of some other idiots, who are not in the above mentioned categories.

This is exactly the kind of dishonest attacks on the Clintons that Sanders should be avoiding completely, especially since the results on March 15 made clear that he was not going to win the nomination. Using a video of Bill Clinton edited by the GOP to make it seem like he was criticizing Obama, when he was in fact denouncing the Republicans' obstructionism during Obama's presidency, is deplorable. And Sanders' tweet is still up as we speak.
