Israelians are men with ni land, they got it from UK after ww2 and it belongs to Palestinians. Now they are bombing kids and civilians because someone planned to attack their southern part of teritory? I mean, how retarded u must be to blame "islamic terrorists " for this? And ofc, ISrael got support from Usa and UK, how surprising. Fuck this world, it insults human intelligence. Like in Syria, Usa is trying to install democracy everywhere where resources are and by demicratic goverment, they mean their hand in there to do what they need to do... If they are battling versus islam terror, why they supported Albanian gypsies in Kosovo instead of us? Its always their interest, like here, and I m sick of it. Yep, they got the land after WW2. Spoils of the war. Turns out, their homeland has nearly always been surrounded by religious opposition, and very aggressive ones at that (Israel did get conquered by the Romans back in the day, and several before them. Through the years, the land was occupied by Mamluks and Turks and various Arabs, with a short time of Crusader occupation. Then those Ottoman Turks got themselves defeated, and the land eventually is given back to the Jews for their own nation. It's been through a lot of hands, and Israel had it for some time in the past, and now has a part of what it did for the present. So saying it naturally belongs to the Palestinians takes quite a short view of the history. Palestinian neighbors want it back, and a lot of rhetoric has been leveled at the Jews saying they should be wiped off the face of the earth. I don't really know these days how much the US is really responsible for its continued existence, however much that was the truth a while ago. One thing is for sure, the incessant rocket attacks are provoking a very militarily capable country, and they are putting their own citizens in danger with the attacks. From rocket batteries located near playgrounds and mosques, of course. It is neither "retarded" nor an "[insult to] human intelligence" to throw blame at the aggressive tactics of the Palestinian state. We would have seen by now if there was any chance that the Palestinian state would accept the continued existence of an Israeli state and live in peace. They have made their choice; they are reaping the consequences.

There's plenty of blame to go around on both sides. With Israeli forces acting unilaterally, Israeli settlers building illegal homes on internationally-recognised occupied territory, a bloody great wall segregating the Palestinian peoples, Israel isn't exactly innocent of aggression. And Palestine launches rockets into Israel, not caring one jot where they land, while the threat of suicide bombings, intifadas and aggression from the Muslim world at large tend to allow Israel to behave like a country on a war-time footing - keep in mind Israel was under great threat from every neighbouring country during the 6 Day War and, frankly, if you win a war you tend to get to keep land you conquer, especially if you're seen as the victim. Add to which Iran and Hezbollah like to talk about wiping Israel off the map, plus one or two historical examples, and you can see why they basically don't trust anyone. Personally, what is interesting to me is the deafening silence from the White House. The US has traditionally been a staunch ally of Israel, yet they aren't saying much about what is threatening to erupt into a new war in the Middle East, at a time of unprecedented upheaval, what with the Arab Spring and Syria.

When the British ran it, the Palestinians refused to cooperate anytime the Jews or Judaism in general was involved. They can be pissed all they want, but if they just accepted freedom of religion (something Israel does), things wouldn't be such a problem.

The UN is a powerless entity that no one in this region takes seriously. UN "troops" are known to get out of the way every time something serious happens anyway.

Isn't US the top contributor to UN anyway, so there would be one who opposes to intervene already i think. But then again, i don't know jack shit about this situation, so yeah. Someone can clarify few things to me if needed.

Answer: Immediate annihilation of the entire country inside of one year. Who by? They are the most technologically advanced and militaristic country in the Middle East, an impressive feat considering the dictatorships there. Iran is the only country strong enough to trouble them militarily, and that's only with their rockets. Israel would crush them if it came to a land war. If the US and the UK stopped supporting Israel, they'd face more terrorism and be even more determined to survive.

The General assembly is purely democratic so there is a automatic majority for any anti Israel proposition. Security council isnt though and the US can veto. As far as the UK though, they have never been really pro Israel.
