Except Regi is retiring as a player he is not leaving TSM. He will stay as a manager and coach which should really benefit the team since they have no objective player to review their plays and see when someone makes a mistake.

People saying regi was a good leader and a good player..wow.

All i ever saw from regi was bad leadership, bad play, subpar mechanics and an inability to accept his own mistakes and constant raging at his team for them and other pointless shite. He was alot worse then any other mid player on the top teams, had a stinking attitude and was detrimental to his team.

In my opinion.

the standard thinking is xprecial to mid, as he already plays a strong mid, and picking up a new support, probs nhat.

The problem is not so much about Xpecial mid (rumour has it that he is very good), but Reginold has always been the leader and the shot caller. He decides when to go in, when to retreat, and the team moves at his command - and TSM's playstyle is defined by Regi. If he doesn't play anymore TSM will need some major rearrangements.

well i know that in Dota a lot of the captains have moved over to the support role so maybe they can get a shot calling support

I don' t know why people always bring up Nhat when there is a possible support opening, to be honest the way TSM's bot carried them so many games this season I think it would be a mistake to move Xpecial. Good supports are so hard to find, and make such a huge difference, right now there just isn't a free agent support available worth losing TSMs current bot conrol for.

Not sure how I feel about this. Might have not been the absolute top AP-Mid but he synergized with his team pretty damn well, since they've been playing together for such a long time.

I think the strongest contenders to replace Regi is chu8. Chu8 has definitely been one of the strongest MOBA players in the NA scene and with him recently stating hes going all-in with the lol competitive scene I think he would be such a good replacement.

Either they get another person who could lead the team (Chauster comes to mid, although he has repeatedly said he would prefer not to leave CLG) or the team has to completely revamp how they plan. TSM needs a play-maker now. But it's even harder to find a play-maker than it is to find an AP mid.

Regi may not dominate his lane but almost no other mid laner does these days, that's just the way the way mid lane seems to be played in the current meta. Lots of farming and occasional ganks when the opportunity rises, Regi's plays and team presence has always seems to be a big component of TSM and their success.

Hopefully things go smoothly for TSM during this transition.
