Ok so DesRow agreed to a set amount of money from the start as far as I can tell, therefore, Maximus technically did nothing wrong in this case. The arguement is that Maximus is morally in the wrong for not splitting 50/50 correct? The problem with this arguement is that DesRow allegedly made VERY inappropriate comments about Maximus' fiance while in his house and insulted Lastshadow to the point where Maximus had to delete VODs. If I were Maximus I would have kicked that fat fuck out of my house immediately but he let him stay and then paid DesRow more than was even agreed to. So how is Maximus in the wrong technically or morally in this case?

He knows his fanbase will go apeshit and try to ruin desWOW's name and reputation. How self centered are you to have such a narrow minded way of thinking? You honestly think that someone who just got signed to a big name team and trying to make it big would want his fan base who he respects and loves and tells them that on a daily basis, wants those same people to crush and destroy his chances of becoming big over something stupid? Seriously get your head off your high horse and have some reasoning logic? I don't even understand what your main point is, I'm sorry. I think someone in the chat said desWOW lost over 250+ followers on twitch because of the MB rant? Black even said himself "HAHA well I'm going to un-sub right now!" which of course he knows his fans are going to try and copy him and thus un-sub as well. All this is making my head hurt. edit: fixed the quote since you somehow fucked it up. Wow so a celebrity has a problem with someone and unfollows him because that's how he feels and you think the massive amounts of people that do the same are his problem? Its not, they do so at their own convenience. He has no control over however many people over the internet that's just stupid to try and do. Also, obviously did the post wrong don't usually quote people sorry about that.

I'm not really biased on the issue but it seems like kind of a dick move to get paid more money then you had orginally agreed to and then come out and trash MaximusBlack anyway.

The issue is how the "chip in" was worded. From what I understand it had both of their names on it, not just maximus. So a viewer could have donated thinking the money would go to BOTH of them. Pretty hard to tell either way. Watching the stream though, there were times where DesRow was saying some pretty insulting things to Jeff and others as well. And more than "you suck at sc2" kind of insulting. I would have thrown him out of my house if some of those things were said to me to be honest. I dont remember how the chip in was worded but if we resign ourselves from that fact, my understanding was that the chip in was to help cover the costs of the coaching week and possibly help with a trip to MLG once the initial costs were covered. Just feels like the donation thingy shud have been a 50/50 split deal and w/e happens happens desrow asking for money after everything was over is obviously retarded though
Oh, I completely agree. I think it should have been decided upon before the donation pot went up at all.
The whole thing is messy but I don't think desrow even needed to bring it up. He gained a lot of exposure from the week and gained a lot of followers I am sure on both twitter and twitch.
And Maximus didn't say a word and insisted the two were on good terms since the coaching happened but now that he gets on a team desrow decides to chime in -_-
Its just a mess and would have been better off left alone.

Your in someone elses house and disrespect the women of the house :O Well thats pretty low desrow. Very low. And then ask for more money? Wow. And the fact Maximusblack gave him more so no drama would continue, then we have this lol. Feel really bad for maximusblack. Goodluck @ Quantic Dude.

uhh not if it wasnt part of the deal, im sure maximusblack told desrow up front wat he was going to pay him and how much of his expenses he was going to cover. desrow shouldnt ask for something if it wasnt pre-negotiated, his job was to coach maximusblack.. nothing more nothing less, theoretically hes supposed to be his employer no?
desrow should have just asked him to take his name off the donation box if he was against it, if there was an issue he should have brought it up while he was over maximusblack's house
edit: that being said it was wrong of maximus to have both their names on the chip-in box in the first place, but its not as if he knew how much money he was going to make so.. dunno tbh this situation seems pretty fucked up either way. we probably dont even know the full story

Heres help to clarify
Here's what my receipt from the Chipin says:
-------------------------------------------------
Paid By: Scott ******* (grimm********@*******.com) For: DesRow Costs/MLG Method: PayPal (grimm********@*******.com) Total: $10.00
This receipt confirms that you authorized a payment to The Bouse for the event DesRow Costs/MLG. Should you have questions regarding this transaction, please visit our FAQ or contact us at contact.chipin.com.
----------------------------------------------------
The chipin went to MB directly. There was no share on it with desrow. It was intended to be a chip in to help cover the event costs.

This is a good point but one I've not seen DesRow bring up himself. Maybe I read into his post too much but to me it just seemed like he thought he deserved more after the fact.
This sort of eludes to a larger issue with regards to the overall experience and maturity seen in eSports. (I mean that from a longevity point of view not the insulting "immature" way).
DesRow really needed to look out for himself holistically - which includes securing compensation for any VOD's he may be a part of through the boot camp process. That is his responsibility, not MaximusBlack's.

As a person that watched the live streams, this is unfortunately the case. They were awkward for viewers, and what I only could interpret as clearly frustrating for MB

I said he wasn't SUPER far away from being up to a professional level of play, which is true. Many actual pros wouldn't do what you consider OK at major tournaments either. I don't think, due to the nature of the stream, and the nature of desrows employment agreement (a flat fee structure) that he is entitled to any VOD or stream revenue. Now, if desrows payment was a percentage of revenue, this might be a different story, but the flat fee does not support this factually.

And I should add:
Desrows skill as a player, or his tournement success is not subject for discussion in my opinion.
MB and Desrow agreed on what a fair dollar value for Desrow's services would be. At that exact point in time, that amount was valuated. If the player was SK_MC, that value might have been higher. Regardless, it was agreed upon by both parties at that time, as what fair market value would be.
