They're all more, imo, entertaining, less BM, and actually have knowledge in the game. They rarely cheese, explain how/why they lost, and over all just BETTER players.

Nuff said.
Those saying that the Bouse is a bad player, I believe that if he truly works hard and plays a lot and keeps working for it, I really believe that he could get to Grandmasters and eventually be able to compete with other top North American players. Do I think he will be much better than, say, iNcontroL or maybe someone like HuK, I doubt it, but HuK and iNcontroL are both very valuable players if nothing else for their contributions to the community.
You do realize when EG picked up idra he was the best foreigner in both SC2 and BW and was the only foreigner actually able to compete with koreans at the time?

Couldn't agree more KueKue & Andy. This brings all affiliated companies down a few levels in my book. They should put in tiny writing somewhere with an asterisk... *All invites will mostly be based on your popularity, not your skill... so if you are at progamer level of skill, you would still need to act like an idiot and have lots of people watch you for you to get in.
EDIT: I'm sure his "personality" is just what Quantic needs instead of more talented players... At least EG picked up Suppy. An actual talent.

Quite clearly a personality pickup and nothing to do with his play. best of luck to quantic anyway. Yes excuse me if I don't take your point of view seriously. Doubt Quantic would waste money sending a personality to tournaments if they didn'tt believe he could bring results plus with his training at the Razor Academy he will more then likely only improve. So try being more optimistic man it doesn't pay to have such negative views.

This is basicly what happened
Maximus offered me to go over to his house for 7 days and coach him. It was a great opportunity/event to promote myself and promote himself. He offered me 500$ and paid airfare and food which was 500$. On top of that, he gave me a 70$ microphone as a gift.
Maximus made around 850$ off ad revenue and 4000$ off donations minus 1070 for aifare/salary/microphone.
Once I got back, I talked with a few really close friends who work in e-sports for notable organisations and asked them their opinion of the whole affair. Most of them were shocked/surprised that he wasn't giving me more than that.
I asked Maximus a week later if he thought I deserved more than what he gave me. He started flipping out and being agressive and calling me out for things that never seemed to be an issue while I was over there. Most of the jokes I made were to entertain sort of like 2GD. He kept claiming that he lost potential revenue from his youtube channel when he already had pre-recorded content for every channel.
After he flipped out, I realize this wasn't going anywhere. Until I heard that CSN wanted to hire him. Being a acquaintance of John Clark, I thought it was only fair to inform him of how Maximus was behind the scene. After CSN telling Maximus what I told them, he realize that this whole story could get out and that his persona would be compromised. He then agreed to pay an extra 300$ out of spite.

I'm surprised he didn't just go 50/50 with you from the outset on the whole production; would've seemed like a decent and fair thing to do. It sounds like MaximusBlack took advantage of you not being so business-savvy about all of this, sadly this kind of stuff happens all the time. Live and learn, I guess.

Uh wow. Obviously something happened between you guys but I don't think it's cool to trash him like that desrow.
He would have made some of that money streaming that week anyway.
And, he's more popular and thus in the stronger situation. You got more viewers after the event, yes?

Just gonna throw in my 2 cents. I think companys will indeed make decisions that are right for them but as I see it right now StarCraft has a HUGE problem with cultivating new talent especially in North America, I am not sure about Europe or Korea. The Semi-Pro league is a good step but there are many GMs, High Masters, even Mid masters players with lots of time to invest into the game but no training partners (these are harder to find than you think, at least the ones with good mindset.)Nor, opportunities to market themselves. So yes I see where everyone's head scratching is coming from, but keep in mind I'm sure Quantic is looking at Maximus as an investment in content and community expansion.

Seems like he offered you a flat rate and the extra benefits and you accepted. The only mistake he made was letting you know the amounts of how much he made overall. That had nothing to do with you since you got paid what you agreed to.

In the context of the scenario you are describing, asking someone for more money later on is an awkward way of doing business, as it was not part of the original deal. Sure it would have been a cool thing for Maximus to do; but he is not obligated too. If you were happy enough to accept the original offer, then pressuring someone for more money implies your mind is geared towards improving your current financial state; as opposed to recognizing that there was a flaw in your original negotiations, and introspecting as to how you could avoid such an outcome by objectively improving this aspect of your life. It seemed like you used the opinions of others to gain the confidence to justify/actuate such a non-progressive internal desire. As you are describing, the deal you agreed to did not include a parameter which scaled based on the revenue of Maximus' stream. I feel like you should calm down; I don't know exactly how Maximus reacted to the situation because your description is the only context... Since you claim he was being aggressive I assume that spawned from a defensive reaction that someone might have after being done with a week-long project, and feeling like they had already facilitated their end of the deal. I don't really know either of you; but I hope everyone calms down.

If you had already agreed on a number it's not exactly like he was obligated to pay you more if he had problems with what you did. And I don't think the money amount is any of TLs business.
