HAS he done anything for the community at all? The answers to the questions are obvious, and anything above and beyond that is just conjecture of what QUANTIC has done, they decided to pick him up, noone would turn down thew opportunity for what it would do to their SC2 careers, so (and im pretty objective, as I haven't watched much if any of MB, ) why is this hate being directed at him. If anything the derision should be directed at Quantic, not MB for their decision, as MB's decision is the most cut and dry one that anybody looking to become a professional could make. | ||

And he is worth more to a team than some random foreign high masters/mid GM. Neither player will ever be competitive, but one already has a large fan base and pressence in the community. Guess which one that is. You really think some mid tier GM on EU or NA has any more of a shot vs. Koreans than MB? Makes me laugh. At least MB has accepted that and made himself successful in other spheres of SC2. | ||

I absolutely can't stand teams that sign players for the publicity and popularity alone. I want to support players that actually strive to improve in this game and players we can see on a featured stage at an MLG or NASL. This player, however he chooses to rationalize the "hater's" hate, is none of these things. You can't 4 gate to win a dreamhack. MaximusBlack doesn't take constructive criticism well at all. I've seen his stream and he disregards every good piece of advice as "hate". I "hate" to be the bearer of bad news, but this partnership will go nowhere. Your "good lucks" are better off used to get to the end of the rainbow. | ||

From a purely sponsorship point, this deal wont be bad at all. Saw him playing a couple customs with Destiny the other day, wasn't too impressed with his play... He made similar mistakes as I do in Gold lol, but oh well... Everyone can improve. Team wise: It's all about Root now! RootNaniwa inc?  | ||
