The only thing he does better than you is play starcraft 2 most likely, so why would you take offense from him, but not some random? i know, what you are trying to get it. I see your point. We should treat humans equally and if life was fair, everybody would be evaluated equally for what actions and decisions they commit to. However the truth is far from your utopian society that you have suggested. Professional players =/= normal casual gamers. When money and sponsorship is on the line in a global sport like SC2, there has to be a CODE of Conduct from Professional Players. The goal of any team is to Earn $. In order to earn the money, they need sponsors. Sponsors want a successful team that is openly marketable to all global markets. If some player upsets that business model and offends a huge asian fanbase, sponsorship will decrease, the Team will make less money, and eventually the team dies. Offending asian companies like Samsung is also a huge risk that QUantic is also exposing themselves to by not disciplining Destiny. Samsung would be a great sponsor for any SC2 team. That asian company has more money than a greedy Dragon. They would make any team rich. That is the reality that SC2 faces. Ordinary gamers do not have that kind of responsibility. They do not have to be the bread-winners for a team/organization.

Now I understand that one may get frustrated if he/she loses in a game (I've been there myself). I also understand that it is his stream and he may say that he can do whatever the hell he wants in his stream. However, he stands now as a "community figure" who has the reach to influence thousands of viewers daily and can skew the public's view of sc2 community in an extremely negative direction. Isn't it reasonable to expect a level of professionalism from a player that plays on a professional team? I just don't think spurting out racial slurs left and right in front of a large audience is why Quantic sponsors Destiny to market their team. As a note, I don't think QuanticDestiny is a true racist. However, I do believe that ignorance towards his excessive use of racial slurs would eventually lead to tolerance within the community and that would be a very dangerous outcome. ![]() WardenSC I agree with you. I'm offended by his language as well. Destiny is popular and featured on this website. I've seen people get in trouble for a lot less. It's unacceptable behavior, and it's too bad TL is ignoring this issue.

Can't wait for this scum to disappear from our scene. And the ironic thing is you're probably one of those people who considers yourself a bastion of tolerance and understanding.

I noticed they are getting sponsored by Razer. Here is their email support-us@razersupport.com. Please don't email razer. Hit destiny and quantic hard if you must, but the last thing this scene is less sponsors

Yeah this really isn't anything special ;p If he personally came up to you and called you a gook then I can understand how that is offensive because he would know if you were Asian or not. But its over the internet, you are just some random faceless kid and he choose such an insult because of this. You have to think why a word is being said. Is it being said because it simply releases frustration? i.e calling someone a cocksucker doesn't actually imply that they suck a lot of penis. Its just a way to vent.

People get Orb fired from his job with a witch hunt that lasts for a whole month for saying the n word. Destiny says something similar and people are telling the guy he said it to, to grow some balls. Destiny fanboys are fucking hilarious. Can't wait for this scum to disappear from our scene. Oh it's "our" scene? What do you contribute to it exactly? I know that Destiny has contributed a lot more than you did. Funny to hear you calling him scum yet you're offended by what he says? Cool logic bro. That being said, I'm not a fan of his racial slurs and I'd rather if he stopped using them but who the hell am I to tell him wtf he should or shouldn't do? I don't have to watch him if I don't want to.

one is acknowledging the amount of potential hate it might cause but defend the use of these words with legit reasons and sources to back it up. Destiny spent a long time discussing it with some high up members of the team right when he joined the team. I watched it live, he has probably spent a lot more time dealing with these issues than you have ever think about it. This shows a part of his opinion on his usage of words and how he isn't hiding it. If he has a legit reason and faith and argument, why can't he stand up for himself? The team is aware of these types of comments. another is using it without thinking it through and tried to lie himself out of the way. [I can't be bothered to link to all the screen cap of the racial comments and his lies] So yea, it is a big issue here and that is why there is a big contrast.

You are graving for drama 24/7 and if there isnt some kind of drama hell we will just create something. Uhhh, noone said he wasn't allowed to 'be human and do mistakes'. It's not like this is a one-off, dude. Nothing about what I said insinuated he wasn't allowed that. I'm just curious as to why you think it should be promoted and why he shouldn't be held accountable for what he says?
