Go Flash! Do you even read what you write, bw elitists? Flash owns everyone within 6 months - SC2 too easy. Flash doesn't own everyone within 6 months - SC2 too easy. Insert Jackie meme here.
That's not what he said at all. He said if Flash doesn't dominate everyone within 6 months that means SC2 is too easy to play. If he does dominate, everything is okay.
That in itself might look silly to you, because it's kinda biased towards Flash, but that's because you have different premises. He feels more secure in Flash's skills than he does about SC2's gameplay, so if Flash doesn't dominate then his premise that "Flash is the god of RTS" shouldn't change, but SC2's place as a worthy successor of BW should.
Personally I don't think it's really fair towards either Flash or SC2 to conclude such a thing from one observation (that Flash does or does not dominate).

Yes it would be really interesting to see how Flash and the other top BW pros would do if they start to seriously play SC2. I hope they do so we could at least stop the endless speculation.

This is very exciting ^_^

It's pretty clear to me that the games hierarchy goes something like .... LoL < SC2 < SC:BW < Chess < Life.
|
Funny seeing Blizzard desperate to make deals with kespa since LoL is taking over and with DOTA2 on it's way even HOTS won't save it. Guess they are trying to regain the foothold in Korea.

So it begins. The exhile of foreign players.

I'm really tired of people throwing around the word Elitist on BW fans, just because someone is biased in some way doesn't make them an elitist, no one is assuming that because we like broodwar we can have special previleges bestowed on us by merit of us liking BW to the expense of SC2 fans. As if every BW fan is a burgeois capitalist being backed up by a powerful state military-industrial complex drinking champagne and taking away the previleges of the SC2 fan, when the reality of the situation is the exact opposite. If a poster is biased and makes idiotic remarks, just rebute him and be done with it, stop labeling communities.
Thank you.

I've read some of the comments in the original site and some of them are quite negative about Flash actually.

I hope that Flash dominates in SC2.

Except that life isn't a game.
Edit: lol unless you are talking about The Game of LIFE, but I wouldn't say that's better than chess.

If nothing happens soon, DotA2 will blow everything out of the water imo.

Now yes, but can you really say that when he's transition is complete? I don't think so.

Maybe during 2009-2010 when BW pro scene was fantastic and there were grounds to do it on, it's being used as a derogatory label that doesn't even make sense given the situation.

yes easily because *shocker* sc2=/=bw

Can't wait to see what the fuss is about. As a WC3 gamer from 2002 until SC2's release, I missed out on the BW greats.

This part of your post makes you just as 'bad' as the people you are criticising. Let me translate:
'Every SC2 fan is a burgeois capitalist being backed up by a powerful state military-industrial complex drinking champagne and taking away the previleges of the BW fan.'

well, it had to happen sometime. Amazing it lasted as long as it did. And even at such an early time! I bet it will take a loong time before we see another game being played on that level for such a long time. Also I dont really understand how BW fans can be anything but sad about this. I dont care if Flash plays SC2, tetris or soccer to be perfectly frank.

That is true, but we can see that some mechanics transition to SC2 still, especially since he will play Terran who seems to have the highest skill cap also in SC2. I highly doubt Stephano would take down Flash, who has has a whole team behind him who can tell him everything he needs to know about Stephano and his playstyle. But we shall wait and see, no need to predict the future now.
