It's sad that BW is going away but it seems like that was going to happen anyway so at least we get to see some of our favorites continue to play in SC2.

Yes, probably thats the case, for every pro in bw the game is something precious and we all know its still the better game, no way thats true and also having in mind other progamers statements about the game before switch is announced, there is something wrong. But again its too bitchy from Flash to be part of this, he is the biggest in the Broodwar ever and he is helping the corporate manipulation. So KT are doing exactly what big money guys wants to, this is another big blow against BW as Blizzard wants to kill it sooner to spread their new product/shit and get the money, as people forget faster about the better game. I hope that sc2 will becomes great as his predecessor, but for now dont see that happening. Zerg expansion will make game little more interesting, but with ideas taken from broodwar and command and conquer series - no originality at all.
And let me ask you a question, what happens in most cases when a great game is taken by one of the biggest corporations and they start to release sequels? EA someone? If u are gamer u should know what im talking about, its not about quality its all about the money.
If wasnt BW, there will be much less pressure to work on the game to make it better as its so succsessfull already, so the faster BW dies the better for the moneymakers
