He also called a very questionable tech in the Thunder-Mavs series a few days after. Seriously, the NBA needs to do something to his out of control ass before the second round starts. while I think NBA officiating has been complete garbage this year especially, Rondo absolutely deserved to be thrown out of that game and was correctly suspended.

The suspension and technical for the bump was correct. The initial call was questionable and the first technical given was retarded. This particular official, Mark Davis, has already called at least three egregrious technicals in the first round alone in three different series (Hawks-Celtics, Thunder-Mavs, Grizzlies-Clippers). He shouldn't be allowed to officiate another playoff game this year without having additional training. As an official, when fans start recognizing you, you're doing something wrong. Missed calls happen. As long as it doesn't happen too often and are spread out between different officials, it's fine. This particular official makes way too many, and it's often of the quick trigger technical variety. I forgot who got the technical in the Thunder-Mavs game but I remember it was a very quick trigger from a clearly blown call (it was either a goaltending or out of bounds one) by the official. At the least, officials who clearly fuck up should be more understanding an give the players more leeway to complain about it.

It was the call early on in game 3 with Perkins on the offensive (possible) goal tend. Carlisle went ballistic, he was so irate I was worried for a second hed get thrown out seeing it was Davis. But yeah I defended Davis on throwing Rondo out because as bad as he was you cant go around bumping refs. The calling that game was pretty atrocious though. As if all the NBA needs is another ref who's bad at his job and thinks hes the shit but seems to be good at not getting fired. meh..

The angle is perfect from the one I have Evans doesnt really even say anything much and definately not to anyone cept Blake. And even if he did I mean comon ... Theres 2 Refs standing right there and Marc Davis all the way over the other side apparantly heard or saw something they didnt ? Im pretty optimistic to, but he is a T happy idiot and hes bad. General rule of thumb for me is if people are talking about you after a games you shouldnt be doing this job.

Im thinking about betting 100$ on philly...

Boston's a playoff team with too many veterans and home court, they should take it comfortably barring injuries. Also how the hell was Atlanta the better team? They lost a Bo7 4-2, being stupid/smart is part of how good a team is.

Im honestly more afraid of them than I would be of the Bulls without Rose. Here Rondo has no margin for error, turnovers will be crucial. And Brand is beastly.

I think Garnett will be able to control Brand, and Rondo/Bradley will probably have a chokehold on Holiday, I think Boston will be fine

Right now Ray is playing on cortizone, Pierce piled up knee problems and Bradley isnt as hot as he was, partly due to playoffs being bigger than life, partly due to shoulder injury. Philly is just healthy. Given 1 day of rest between series (which is IDIOTIC) Im worried.

This article is just a polite taste of the criticism Bynum especially has been facing these last couple of days in Los Angeles sports media following game 6. All bets are off. Game 7 is tonight, we know Kobe's going to show up, the question is really if the bigs will. Ron's coming back, but Denver has been playing great and has a ton of confidence and momentum coming into this. It's time to see if they're ready to make history being one of the few teams to overcome a 3-1 hole in the playoffs or if the Lakers are ready to wake up and play like I know they can.

He wasn't shooting well, but he did everything else he needed to on the court for the Lakers to get the win. Oh yea 18 rebounds is not contributing right? That's the thing about Kobe, if something isn't working for him he at least brings competitive energy to the arena every night. You can't doubt his heart and commitment the way you can with the others. Regular season, playoffs, finals. It doesn't matter he shows up to play and he plays hard. An off shooting night is acceptable every now and then even if it's poorly timed like game 7 of the finals. Simply not showing up at all mentally, that's unacceptable. that's what Bynum and Gasol did in game 6.
