I just watched you stand around on that play and literally not move from a spot while Feried got THREE offensive rebounds right around you while you stood and watched.
Go sit down.

Also, can you point me to the rule about intent? Section IV--Flagrant Foul a. If contact committed against a player, with or without the ball, is interpreted to be unnecessary, a flagrant foul--penalty (1) will be assessed. A personal foul is charged to the offender and a team foul is charged to the team. Unless you mean this: 2. Whether or not the player was making a legitimate basketball play (e.g., whether a player is making a legitimate effort to block a shot; note, however, that a foul committed during a block attempt can still be considered flagrant if other criteria are present such as recklessness and hard contact to the head); In which case Farried was hit on the head by Kobe and fell hard which can be called recklessness.

Perfect example of why intent matters is when Al Harrington got his nose broken by an inadvertent elbow from Andrew Bynum. That's a lot of contact obviously but there wasn't even a foul called because it was clearly an accident. Intent is what separates a flagrant from a simple foul.

Look at it again. His arm is almost mirroring Feried's arm, with his hand draped over the ball. The refs called it flagrant because of the way Feried fell which is something they tend to do. I mean your wrong but whatever

Not really, its the degree of recklessness and risk to injury that the player you foul is exposed to. If it was intentional he was out. And I agree, either Pau is not trying or Faried is just destroying him, I think its a bit of both but more the latter.

But everyone else should just go home. Go on the plane now and save everybody the trouble. Maybe give McRoberts and the Rookies some playing time. Can't be any worse than what we're seeing right now.

No vindic, if anything it would separate a I from a II really. A I can still be called even if you are making a play for the ball.

Obviously that's not how it works and obviously I know that what you're saying is true, it just shouldn't be that way.
