From where I'm from, the basketball fans were indifferent that Miami built their team around superstars, because seriously, EVERY team that's won a championship in the past decade or so HAD to have superstars. A great deal of them weren't even that worked up over "The Decision" (many thought Lebron could have handled it slightly better on the Cleveland end, but that's a completely different argument). What pissed a lot of them off, including me, was this particular segment: I mean really, come on now, yeah you got confidence, no shit you need that, but when you look at other "super-teams" that have gotten together in the past such as, off the top of my head, Kareem and Magic, at a stretch Jordan, Rodman, and Pippen (though Pippen was drafted and Rodman traded for), Shaq and Kobe, the Spurs, even the Celtics of 08 (as old and near the end of their glory days as they were), none of their players as far as I know ever said that they were going to win championships in their first year together or straight away. They privately wished it could happen and hoped for it, and their fans believed and wanted it to happen, but they weren't saying that it was going to be easy, before they even played their first game together. That, and the notion that arguably the two best players in the world (at the very least 2 of the top 3) and 1 of the top 25 players in the world had just stacked the deck in my mind just set the Miami team apart from the rest of the "super-teams." That was a Miami media thing for their fans - NOT the world. So it wasn't meant for you unless you are a Miami Heat fan. The bolded is just straight up hogwash. There is no such thing as "stacking the deck". Like seriously - explain this IN DEPTH. I really want to know what in the world this means and why it matters so much.

Throwing up random 3s. They really need to get Hibbert more involved. Very sloppy from Indiana.

Usually you need to move the ball around and have someone get him a better angle, throw it over the top of the defender (dangerous if another guy is in help position), or Hibbert has to entrench himself into the paint more forcefully. I'm sure in the second half he's going to murder Miami's bigs though.

I mean, I understand your points on how there's a lot of irrational hate on Miami, but there's a lot of justifiable hate too. You can't brush "The Decision" and all that happened after away. I don't like Lebron because of it. I don't like the premature celebration in Miami and declaring to win championships. It wasn't "just for their fans" it was a televised event that they knew would be broadcast everywhere. It was a decidedly different tone than Shaq coming to Miami and guaranteeing a championship, because he had already won a bunch. Lebron promising 7+ is just arrogant, and in line with a lot of stuff he says and does. Remember when he said that even if the Heat lose, he still gets to wake up and be Lebron, while all his haters still had to wake up and be themselves the next day? It's shit like that.

Basically sounded like "I'm rich, you're poor, fuck off". I still hate him till this day edit: right here

Lebron didn't really promise those chips. But he can say whatever he wants as do haters that joke about him all the time. The lines they come up with are just wow. He still does way more good stuff then bad in my eyes.

So what if he said people can wake up and go back to their lives? After all the shit he has been through why not. If at every turn people are rooting for you to lose, hiding behind "The Decision" when they are more upset you teamed up with Wade I'd be prickly too. People are downright pathetic and I'm glad he told people that life goes on whether he wins or loses.
