From where I'm from, the basketball fans were indifferent that Miami built their team around superstars, because seriously, EVERY team that's won a championship in the past decade or so HAD to have superstars. A great deal of them weren't even that worked up over "The Decision" (many thought Lebron could have handled it slightly better on the Cleveland end, but that's a completely different argument). What pissed a lot of them off, including me, was this particular segment: I mean really, come on now, yeah you got confidence, no shit you need that, but when you look at other "super-teams" that have gotten together in the past such as, off the top of my head, Kareem and Magic, at a stretch Jordan, Rodman, and Pippen (though Pippen was drafted and Rodman traded for), Shaq and Kobe, the Spurs, even the Celtics of 08 (as old and near the end of their glory days as they were), none of their players as far as I know ever said that they were going to win championships in their first year together or straight away. They privately wished it could happen and hoped for it, and their fans believed and wanted it to happen, but they weren't saying that it was going to be easy, before they even played their first game together. That, and the notion that arguably the two best players in the world (at the very least 2 of the top 3) and 1 of the top 25 players in the world had just stacked the deck in my mind just set the Miami team apart from the rest of the "super-teams." | ||

It's going to be interesting to see how the Thunder switch up their defense from guarding the post-heavy Lakers to the perimeter-oriented Spurs. I don't think their defensive depth is as good as they go from good post defenders in Collison and Mohammed to questionable perimeter defenders in Fisher and Cook. It's a good thing that Westbrook, Durant and Harden are young and able to play heavy minutes, because they're all versatile and athletic defenders who will help a lot with regards to perimeter defense while also providing offense. Bad sign for the Thunder is that their only win against the Spurs this season came early on with Ginobili out, Parker and Blair going out because of injuries during the game, and Duncan not playing the 4th because Popovic decided to concede the game at that point. They lost the second and third games, one without Ginobili and both without Diaw and SJax. | ||

I think we have already covered that the Heat don't get Flag 2 called on them under any circumstances only against them. Edit: I do think if Tyler fell on the floor and just laid there it would have helped. | ||
