I do not know personally, nor did I intensively examine and research this incident, I just read the first post (and a few pages of ensuing replies)--thus I have no personal judgment on the said player himself (however, his statements I were not the best as I explain in no.5)--or of the accusations. 2. It is not ohkay to disregard the words in question, that is the most important issue--far above 'lying'. 3. If E-Sports and Starcraft along wants to be taken seriously by outsiders as it expands, then professional players cannot be caught saying these things--nor can they be condoned. (Anyone, including myself, understands being heated in the moment--all professional sports atheletes do when the time comes) 4. It is better to be oversensitive than otherwise. 5. Said player would have had it better if he conducted himself in a more professional manner (as a professional). If he released a statement simply saying "I did not say [insert racial/derogatory slurs], however, even if I did I would like apologize to anyone that may have even slightly been offended by seeing these words [in relation to me]. I do not believe that these words have a place in our starcraft/e-sports community or anywhere for that matter." -For those that want to know my references of example, you can PM me for my original post. | ||
